Important Information for Whānau
We are excited to welcome your tamariki to our Term 2 Holiday Programme. To help ensure a safe, enjoyable, and successful experience for everyone, please take note of the following information.
What to Bring Each Day
All children are required to bring:
A lunchbox containing their morning tea
A named water bottle
A named sunhat
A suitable bag to carry their belongings
A change of clothing appropriate for both warm and cooler weather conditions
Appropriate footwear for active play and outdoor activities
Swimming Activities
For all swimming-related activities, children must bring:
Togs/swimwear
A towel
A change of dry clothing
Rollerblading Day
For our Rollerblading Day, children must bring:
Long, thick socks to help protect against rubbing and discomfort from the skates
Food and Nutrition
Lunch and afternoon tea are provided as part of the programme.
A menu will be shared with whānau before the programme begins.
If your child does not enjoy or cannot eat the meals provided, please ensure they bring their own lunch and afternoon tea for that day.
Personal Belongings
To avoid conflict, damage, or loss, we strongly discourage children from bringing:
Valuable items
Special toys
Electronics
Other personal treasures from home
All clothing, footwear, hats, drink bottles, and personal items must be clearly named to help ensure they are returned home safely.
Behaviour Expectations
Good behaviour is essential for a smooth and enjoyable programme.
We expect all tamariki to:
Respect staff and volunteers
Respect other children
Respect programme equipment and resources
Respect programme facilities and property
Children who are unable to follow programme expectations may be subject to behaviour management processes in consultation with their whānau.
Should programme equipment, resources, or property be deliberately damaged or broken, the cost of replacement may become the responsibility of the child's whānau.
Supporting Neurodiverse Tamariki
We are committed to creating an inclusive environment where all tamariki can thrive.
If your child has any neurodiverse needs, additional support requirements, or strategies that help them succeed, please inform Programme Coordinator Jen before the programme begins. Sharing this information, along with practical solutions and support strategies, helps us provide the best possible experience for your child.
Our Commitment
Our programme is designed to provide a fun, safe, and engaging environment where tamariki can:
Participate in organised activities
Explore and engage with our Taiao (natural environment)
Learn through Tikanga Māori
Build friendships, confidence, and positive memories throughout the holidays
We look forward to welcoming your tamariki to an exciting and action-packed holiday programme. Ngā mihi! 🌿💚
