Join us for three days over the Christmas holiday at Oakham School, for an action-packed schedule of programming games, robotics, engineering, 3D printing, designing, and creativity! Kids coming to us can expect a variety of different actitivities on offer, including:

Programming and designing video games and animations on platforms such as MakeCode Arcade, Scratch and Delightex Edu.

Creating hands-on experience building and programming robotics, learning how we can use motors and servos to create movement in things that we have built.  

Engineering solutions using physical electronics, sensors and microcontrollers using the micro:bit and Raspberry Pi, getting experience in understanding how we can use data from the world around us to make things happen using conditional statements and loops!

Learn how to design and build .stl files on TinkerCAD for sending to the 3D printer (not just finding files online and printing them). Children will develop vital CAD and spatial reasoning skills.

Make friends and be surrounded by like-minded children, who all enjoy tech, experimenting and getting down and focused on building cool projects. Our small club sizes mean that we can maintain really calm and supportive environments, that suit academic, focused and enthusiastic young innovators to really get into their work. Our camps attract a high number of children with ASD and AuADHD, and we are experienced in supporting children with these needs. 

Our camps are run by Olexandra and Andrew. With over 10 years of experience in education, Olexandra is a fully qualified teacher, gaining her PGCE from the University of Cambridge in secondary Design and Technology in 2016. Since then, Olexandra has worked in schools, universities, clubs and holiday camps teaching all things technology! Passionate about providing the best possible, inclusive education, Olexandra continues to enhance her understanding of education through her PhD in Education, which she also studies at the University of Cambridge.  

Andrew is an experienced STEM club and camp leader with a Level 2 in childcare and a background in quantitative research methods. Throughout his career, Andrew has achieved a BSc in Applied Psychology, an MA in Politics, an MSc in Social Science Research, and is working towards a PhD in Communication and Media at Loughborough University. His research focuses on communication's impact on people's political perceptions and he is adept at using complex code to solve problems and analyse large datasets. Beyond academia, he has always enjoyed tinkering with electronics and finding out how things work, and loves sharing this passion with others.
