At NASC it is our goal to ensure the children, parents and caregivers are provided a safe, fun, positive, culturally-responsive and child focused environment, ensuring the children’s well-being is nurtured, they feel welcome, included and valued as individuals.
We offer After School care and Holiday programmes run from the community hall at Ngahinapouri. We are MSD and WINZ approved.

Terms & Conditions
Philosophy statement: At NASC it is our goal to ensure the children, parents and caregivers are provided with a safe, fun, positive, culturally-responsive and child-focused environment, ensuring the childrens well-being is nurtured, they feel welcome, included and valued as individuals
Opening days:
NASC operates Monday to Friday from 3:00pm to 5:30pm
Attendance options:
Permanent: Child/ren will be attending on the same days/same times each week. Or shift workers booking a minimum of 1 session a week via arrangement with management.
*Full-time: Child/ren attending 5 permanent sessions per week on a regular basis
*Part-time: Child/ren attending 1-4 permanent sessions per week
Casual: one off attendance to be stipulated, preferably, the day before or on the morning of attendance.
To qualify for permanent bookings must be made termly (unless otherwise arranged with management).
Session times and fee Structure for After School Care:
Session time : Permanent enrolment fee / Casual enrolment fee
3.00PM 4.00PM: $8.50 / $13.00
3.00PM 4.30PM: $12.75 / $20.00
3.00PM 5.00PM: $17.00 / $27.00
3.00PM 5.30PM: $21.25 / $34.00
If you pick up your child after your selected session has ended a late fee of $1.00 per minute applies.

On site Full Day 8.00AM-5.30PM: $55.00
On site Half Day Morning 8.00AM-12.45PM: $40.00
On site Half Day Afternoon 12.45PM-5.30PM $40.00
Trip day Full Day $70.00 (No half day option for trip days)
If you pick up your child after your selected session has ended a late fee of $1.00 per minute applies.
WINZ subsidized families must book for the full session (3.00 5.30pm) or full day sessions for holiday programme and ensure applications are made prior to starting at Ngahinapouri After School Care.

** WINZ subsidies are charged at a flat weekly rate (not including late fees)
Special NASC Deal for Non-Subsidy Families: We offer a 10% Sibling Discount. This discount is subject to invoices being paid in a timely manner (within 7 days of date on invoice unless otherwise arranged with management). NASC Programmes reserves the right to reverse this discount if this condition is not met.
Cancellations/ Absences: Any cancellation or notice of absence (including illness) is required by 2 days (48 hours) for After school care and 5 days notice for Holiday programme. Notice is required in writing (email or text message are acceptable), or normal fees will be charged. WINZ subsidized families will be charged regardless of notice period, unless child will be absent for longer than 3 weeks.
If a child is not in attendance and no notice is given by parents/ caregivers prior to 3.00pm, then a $10.00 fee will be charged for inconvenience. All children are accounted for on pick up and any change without notice causes unnecessary stress on our staff; who are actively looking for your child andonly want the best for your children.

Please note once a booking has been made on Enrolmy parents/caregivers can cancel the booking themselves up until 5 days before the session starts. If within the 5 days period they need to in writing (text or email) inform management they wish to cancel. The 48hr notice period applies to any cancellation to avoid charges.
Sick children:If your child becomes unwell while attending a NASC programme, they will be isolated and made comfortable in the kitchen. Parents who receive a phone call to come and collect their ill child must collect them as soon as possible (we expect this to be within 1 hour).
Unacceptable Behaviour:While NASC staff follow policy and procedures with behaviour management, there are times when certain behavoiur (eg physical violence) is deemed unacceptable and will result in parents receiving a phone call to collect the child. Parents who receive a phone call to come and collect their childmustcollect them as soon as possible(we expect this to be within 1 hour).
Damages: Any accidental or intentional damages to NASC Property or building equipment/furnishings will be billed to childs Parent/caregiver. We understand accidents can happen and if it is a genuine accident with no one at fault we will waive the fees, however if damage is a result of a child not following instruction/breaking rules then parent/caregivers will be invoiced.
Payment: Bills will be sent out weekly by email. Payment can be made by internet banking, within 5 working days of invoice date. Amonthly 10% interest will apply to all outstanding amounts overdue by 4 weeks. All invoices over 60 days old will be forwarded to a debt collector and any accrued cost in doing so will be added to the account holders bill. Registration/enrolment: Before your child/ren can attend NASC, they must be registered on our booking system Enrolmy with all relevant parent contacts completed and ALL allergy/ medical/ behavioural conditions made clear. A registration for each child needs to be completed. EVERY section of the registration needs to be completed prior to start dates.
What we offer in our program:
Afternoon tea: this will be provided each day and will include a selection of the following,
-Sandwiches or buns with an option of: Marmite, honey, jam or peanut butter etc
-Seasonal fruit and vegetables
-Biscuits, muffins, crackers etc
-Water to drink or whatever your child/children have to drink from their own drink bottles
- Please outline any food allergies in your enrolment forms so that we can effectively accommodate your child, as we have a lot of understanding for different dietary needs.
Craft activities
A craft activity/colouring in will be set up each day for those who would like to participate along with having a cupboard of selected art/craft equipment and supplies for the children to access/use as the wish.
Sports equipment
We have a sports cupboard for children to access a variety of different sporting equipment as they wish
Swimming
During summer, supervised swimming sessions will be available for N.A.S.C children
Wet weather activities
On wet or cold days, games will be available for the children to play as well as a DVD for those who would like to watch
Outdoor activity
On fine days we will often play at the school playground, field or courts.
** It is a privilege to be able to have access to school property such as the playground, swimming pool and changing rooms, toilets (at the end of the senior block) and courts/hoops etc. Any purposeful actions resulting in damage or disrespect to the property or this privilege will result in the privilege being removed along with parents/caregivers being invoiced for any damage causes.
Daily timetable for ASC
-3:00pm: Roll call and locate missing children
-3:10pm: Afternoon tea
-3:30pm: Homework if requested otherwise free play for those without homework
-4:00pm: Craft set up/ games/ outside activity/free play
-5:00pm: Clean up any craft mess etc.
-5:15pm: Free play/ inside games/ outside activities
Sign in/ sign out
On arrival, each child will be signed in by a staff member.
When you come to pick up your child/children, you will need to sign out via the provided QR code. It is essential that all children are signed out. It is your responsibility to ensure you have data and a reliable QR scanner installed on your phone. Please also notify staff before leaving that you have come to collect your child/children. If you fail to sign out you will be charged the full daily charge.
Extra-curricular activities/ sports commitments
Please inform staff if your child/children will be attending any extra-curricular or sports commitments and what these commitments are. There will be no charge whilst yourchild/children are attending these activities, however, if you wish for them to come back to after school care once these activities are finished please notify us so your account can becredited for the time they were absent. Failure to notify us of extra curriculum activities will result in a charge for the whole booked session.
Please note that NASC staff will not be responsible for your child/ children whist they are attending other activities. A parent/caregiver must notify NASC staff of the extra curriculum activity (not the child). If your child is not returning after their dance/sport they will be signed out by a staff member, parents/caregivers will need to also sign at a later date.
