About EA Networks Centre
EANC offers a range of recreational and charitable events along with an excellent Holiday Programme. The programme provides an environment for children to learn, grow, and succeed. The children engage in a variety of activities that positively challenge their abilities. Our Holiday programme is the perfect way to keep your kids busy and a great way for children to make new friends in the local community. You can be sure your children are safe with our friendly and experienced staff.
Some of the wide range of successful events hosted by the EA Networks Centre are: the ever popular inflatable sessions, Kids Triathlon, school swimming sports, Beko Netball league, floating movie night, various fitness fundraisers, and 'gumboot up' day. EANC and the ADC are always exploring the possibilities to host more events for the community. All events are high quality, entertaining, and engaging at Ashburton's top sporting facility.

Terms & Conditions
Definitions:
“You” – the customer/caregiver and signee
“Us” – Ashburton District Council and EA Networks Centre.
"EANC" – EA Networks Centre.
"Event"- the Event, activity, session or programme that individual is registering for participation in.
"Participant" - the individual that is taking part in registered Event.
“Caregiver”- Legal guardian of the “Participant” attending Events run by EANC.
USE OF FACILITIES:
- Participant must comply with the rules of EANC, and the Event run by EANC.
- Participant must act with courtesy towards other users at all times.
- The rules pertain to the requirements of the event to ensure the safety of participants, EANC staff and members of the public and, to protect EANC equipment and facilities to the best of our ability.
- Relevant rules will be discussed at the beginning of the event with further clarification or changes being announced as needed.
- The rules may be changed at any time, by us, at our discretion.
- The rules may be displayed in EANC and/or on our website.
REGISTRATION:
- Places in the Event are limited, and registrations will be on a first in, first served basis.
- Upon registration it is agreed that all care will be taken with the participant in accordance with the EANC onsite policies and procedures and you will not hold EANC liable for injury, accident or loss of possessions.
FEES & PAYMENT:
- EANC have the right to include an admin fee when registering at EANC for an Event where online registration is available.
- All fees are subject to change. These changes will be notified publicly, and such changes will take effect as per the date notified.
- Payment must be made in full by the last date of the Event.
- A payment plan can be arranged with EANC Customer Services (eancCSR@adc.govt.nz) to ensure full payment is received by this date.
- Any outstanding payments after the Event will incur a late payment fee of $5 per Event, per participant.
- When applicable to the registered Event, you agree to ensure the participant is dropped off between the allocated times stated on the registration unless otherwise arranged (times may be subject to change, caregivers will be notified by EANC Staff with as much notice as possible).
- When applicable to the registered Event, you agree to ensure the participant is collected by an authorised guardian named on the registration form before the time stated on the registration. (Times may be subject to change, caregivers will be notified by EANC Staff with as much notice as possible).
- If you fail to collect the participant before the time stated on the registration form, you will be charged an overtime fee of $10 per half hour, per participant.
- If the participant is registered for multiple days within an Event, you will be charged an overtime fee for each day you fail to collect the participant before the time stated.
CANCELLATION:
- Should a caregiver or participant want to cancel a place in the Event, they may do so, and receive a credit, if the absence is notified to EANC Customer Services. (eancCSR@adc.govt.nz) at least 48 hours prior to the start of the Event. Full fees still apply to all cancellations within 48 hours.
- If the participant is unwell on the day of the Event, you must notify EANC Customer Services (eancCSR@adc.govt.nz) as soon as possible of their absence. A credit may be provided for sickness, given proof of a medical certificate relevant to the day missed.
- Failure to notify EANC Customer Service of any absence will result in full fees still applying.
- EANC reserves the right to cancel the Event at any time. If the Event is cancelled, a full credit towards a future EANC Event will be provided.
- In circumstances where a credit is not suitable, a refund may be provided at the discretion of EANC management.
CAREGIVER AND EMERGENCY CONTACT REQUIREMENTS:
- As the caregiver, you must provide us with your correct contact information and keep that information up to date at all times (name, phone number(s) and email address).
- You must also provide us with at least one other emergency contact, and it is your responsibility as the caregiver to keep their contact information up to date at all times.
- Should an instance occur where a participant needs to be removed from an Event for illness, behaviour or any matter that EANC deems detrimental to the health and safety of the participant and/or the Event, it is expected that an authorised guardian (caregiver, emergency contact and/or an authorised pick-up) is available to remove the participant from the Event in a reasonable timeframe (within one hour). It is your responsibility as the caregiver to ensure this.
- The primary caregiver of the participant will be contacted in the first instance. If they are not able to be reached, then staff will contact the emergency contact for the participant.
HEALTH AND SAFETY:
- Caregivers are required to disclose and continually update any health-related information and medical conditions to EANC and/or on the EANC Safety Form upon registration.
- When applicable to the registered Event, the child’s health on arrival is your responsibility. If you have any questions or concerns about your child’s health when exercising it is your responsibility as a caregiver to have them examined by a doctor before attending the registered Event.
- If the Participant is unwell, please keep them at home. EANC reserves the right to turn participants away on the day if they are presenting with illness. In this instance, a credit will be provided.
- We will comply with our obligations under relevant health and safety legislation.
- The participant is expected to comply with all instructions from staff and volunteers.
- EANC Events at any level carry an inherent risk of physical injury. EANC Staff will take all reasonable measures to avoid any possible injury to those participating in set Event.
- EANC Staff may seek medical attention for participant if it is required. A trained first aider will be available during the EANC Event.
LIABILITY:
- All participants, visitors, invitees, attendees, and others who are involved in the EANC Event take part in the activities at their own risk. Participants shall hold harmless and indemnify Council, the EANC staff and agents from and against any and all liability of whatsoever nature.
- Council and the EANC staff do not accept any obligation, responsibility, liability for:
- Loss, theft, or damage to or of any personal belongings whatsoever
- Loss, accident, illness, injury, death to/or of any player, participant, visitor, invitee, attendee, or other person at the EANC Event
- Any matter or thing beyond the control of Council or EANC staff.
BEHAVIOUR:
- EANC Events are about participation and follow the principles of Sport New Zealand’s “Balance is Better.” (https://balanceisbetter.org.nz/). By entering, you as/and the participant agree to abide by these principles.
- Any bullying or disruptive behaviour will not be tolerated, and the EANC staff reserve the right to exclude any participant whose behaviour is deemed to be detrimental to the Event or other participants. Should this occur, the primary caregiver named on the registration form will be contacted and they will be required to immediately remove the participant. No credit will be provided in this situation.
- As a caregiver, you understand that for health and safety reasons, participants must abide by all directions given by instructors/EANC Staff and non-compliance may result in the participant being excluded from Events hosted by EANC, and banned or trespassed from EANC.
GEAR TO BRING:
- The Participant must be dressed appropriately for the Event including appropriate footwear.
- Participants must have their own means of suitable hydration and nutrition for the Event, unless an available lunch option has been selected in advance.
- The Participant must bring wet weather gear if it is raining.
- If the Event requires swimwear and towel it will be supplied by you/ the participant and will be indicated by EANC staff in advance. (Appropriate swimwear must be worn, no street clothing is allowed in the pools).
PRIVACY:
- Personal information about the participant on your safety form will be used and held by us for administration of your booking in the EANC Event. This includes notifying you of any changes during the EANC Event, any changes to these terms and conditions, and any other changes that occur during the EANC Event that are notifiable to participants and caregivers.
- In accordance with the Privacy Act 2020, you are entitled to access and correct the personal information held about the participant.
- Information collected within the safety form will be managed in accordance with the Privacy Act 2020, Children’s Act 2014, Oranga Tamariki Act 1989, other relevant legislation and Council’s Customer Privacy Policy. This information may be disclosed to the Ministry of Social Development, relevant Government departments and other audit organisations as required in accordance with the relevant act(s).
- Unless you opt out on the safety form, photos taken during the EANC Event that may include the participant may be used by us for marketing purposes.
DECLARATION:
- By registration and payment of the participant in the EANC Event, I agree to the ‘Terms and Conditions’ on this registration form and the EANC Holiday Programme Policies and Procedures. (Available to view at www.eanetworkscentre.co.nz)
