Terms & Conditions
- Bookings
- 1.1 Payment is required in full at the time of booking. Where a booking has not been paid within 48hrs Little Messy Learners Hobart reserves the right to cancel your pass.
- 1.2 We reserve the right to cancel a session due to unforeseen circumstances. All participants will be contacted as soon as possible and a class credit will be provided for use within the next 6 months.
- 1.3 A discount of 25% off the second sibling is available when purchasing a term pass. Please email Brooke to obtain your discount code. The discount code will need to be applied at time of booking, no refund will be provided if code isn't used at this time.
- 1.4 A discount of 10% off the second sibling is available when purchasing a casual pass. Please email Brooke to obtain your discount code. The discount code will need to be applied at time of booking, no refund will be provided if code isn't used at this time.
- 1.5 Children under the age of 12months can play for free when at least one sibling pass has been purchased. Please email Brooke with the child's full name and date of birth - alternatively add this into the notes of your child’s enrolments.
- 1.6 Any misuse of discount codes during the booking process will result in you being invoiced for the remaining balance. If this is not paid in full your place will be canceled without a refund of any monies paid. Misuse of discount codes includes sharing codes that are for your sole use and using codes that aren't applicable i.e. birthday codes and sibling discounts.
- 1.7 We like to capture lots of photographs and videos of your child’s learning journey and sometimes these will be used for marketing purposes. Please indicate your preferences around the use of photographs of your child during the booking process.
- 1.8 Families are more than welcome to take photographs of their children. We ask that these photographs only capture your child, this includes children and families in the background of images.
- 1.9 Please dress in clothes suitable for messy play and have no significant value. Child’s clothing should be comfortable and may get wet or marked. Little Messy Learners takes NO responsibility for clothes that are stained, marked or damaged. Remember to bring a change of clothes, towel and some wipes are handy
- Parent and Adult Behaviour
- 2.1 All children, families, and staff members are to be treated with kindness, patience, and respect.
- 2.2 Disrespectful, aggressive, or disruptive behaviour will not be tolerated and may result in being asked to leave the session - or enrolment terminated.
- 2.3 Children learn by example. We encourage adults to engage in class activities, use positive language, and help create a calm and encouraging atmosphere.
- 2.4 We value diversity and inclusion/ Please be considerate of different parenting styles, cultural backgrounds, and the unique needs of each child.
- 2.5 Parents/Guardians are responsible for supervising their child/ren at all times.
- 2.6 We like to capture lots of photographs and videos of your child’s learning journey and sometimes these will be used for marketing purposes. - 2.7 Families are more than welcome to take photographs of their OWN children. We ask that these photographs only capture your child, this includes children and families in the background of images
- Supervision
- 3.1 A parent guardian must be in attendance at each class and be actively supervising their child/ren.
- 3.2 To avoid overcrowding we ask that one adult per child attends. Where more than one adult attends we ask that they watch from the side of the room to allow children the space to freely from play spaces.
- 3.3 All products used in our sessions are non-toxic or taste safe, however they are NOT intended to be eaten.
- 3.4 Throughout our sessions the floor may become slippery. The class leader will put reasonable precautions into place in order to minimise slip hazards. Class leaders are not responsible for injuries within a venue. Parents/guardians are responsible for ensuring their child/ren are moving safely in the environment and not playing in the clean up zone after messy play is finished. Running is NOT allowed in class.
- Consumables & Materials
- 4.1 We DO NOT use any products containing; nuts, soy, dairy or eggs in our activities. However some products used do have allergy labels warning the product "May Contain traces of" these allergens.
- 4.2 All products used in our sessions are non-toxic or taste safe, however they are NOT intended to be eaten.
- 4.3 A minimum of 48 hours notice needs to be provided from time of booking to cater for any intolerance or allergies. Where allergens are provided the class leader will inform you at the start of the session.
- 4.4 It is the parents responsibility to ensure the child's medical details are current at the time of booking.
- 4.5 We do not take responsibility for all allergens that children may bring into the class on their clothing, hands, or personal belongings. This includes, but is not limited to, traces of food, pet hair, or other common allergens.
- 4.6 We operate out of shared community venues, which are used by various groups and individuals throughout the week. While we make every effort to ensure the space is clean and safe for our sessions, we cannot guarantee that there has been no cross contamination on flooring or surfaces from previous venue users.
- 4.7 Our team sweeps and checks the space for visible grime, crumbs, and debris before each session begins, but we are not responsible for the hygiene standard or allergens traces left by prior hall hires. Any concerns please let us know and we will direct these to the representatives of the space.
- 4.8 To ensure our space remains allergen free, food from outside must not be eaten around our play stations. If your child needs a snack we ask that they sit at the bench and then wash their hands before returning to play. NUTS and EGGS are highly discouraged.
- 4.9 We’re happy for families to bring in warm beverages or snacks during the session - however, we do ask that you follow these guidelines below to help keep all children safe - Hot drinks: Coffee or tea must be warm and not hot, as it may pose a burn risk if spilt , poured or grabbed. We ask all drinks remain in your hand at all times or placed well out of reach from children - NEVER on the floor or low surfaces - this includes the bottom of prams. - While we do not operate in a nut-free environment, we ask that you avoid bringing almond milk or nut based drinks into class, due to the potential risk of allergen exposure to others. - If you need to eat during the session, please do so at the designated seating area or wait until class has finished. We aim to keep the play area free from crumbs of food and residue to maintain a clean and safe environment for children - We ask that you role model this for your children also.
- Please note: While we take precautions, consumables used in our activities are prepared in environments where these allergens may be present. Therefore, we cannot guarantee an allergen-free experience.
- 5.1 No class credits or refunds available when booking a Casual or Holiday Pass. - A transfer may be available if more than 2 weeks notice is provided at the discretion of franchise owner and availability.
- 5.2 Term Pass families may seek a class credit when a minimum of 24 hours notice is provided from the commencement time of scheduled class. - A class credit must be used within the current term or by the end of the following term (approximately valid for 3 months). - Unused credits will expire after this period and will become void. We are unable to offer extensions or refunds for expired credits. - Please note: Term pass classes are offered at a discounted rate. If you choose to use you class credit towards a casual class (which is priced higher), you may be required to pay a small gap fee to make up the difference. - The value of your class credit reflects the per-class value of your original term pass, not the full casual class price. The best value is putting your class credit towards the next term pass.
- 5.3 No bookings will be refunded, only class credits/make up sessions will be provided. A refund will only be provided if Little Messy Learners are unable to fulfill their duties due to unforeseen circumstances.
- 5.4 A session may be transferred to a friend/family member in your absence if written notification is received. The person transferring the pass will need to provide the name of the adult and child attending in their place. The adult receiving the pass will be required to fill in a booking form or join a waitlist, this is to ensure we have the correct details and our terms and conditions have been read and understood. No payment will be required.
- 6.1 You must refrain from bringing your child to class if they have had any form of illness within 48 hours of the class commencing.
- 6.2 We reserve the right to deny entry or ask you to leave a session should you or your child display symptoms that may be contagious to others.
- 7.1 All staff are trained in our program and maintain appropriate qualifications, including current working with children checks, first aid certification.
- 7.2 Staff conduct a thorough safety check of the space before each class, ensuring that equipment used is clean, safe, and age appropriate. Any visible hazards are removed or reported to the venue representative.
- 7.3 If a toy or resource becomes damaged or poses a safety risk during the session, please notify a staff member immediately so we can remove it from the area.
- 7.4 If your child has heavily mouthed any toys or materials, please place them on the designated cleaning table for proper sanitisation before being used again.
- 7.5 If your child has a milk spew, saliva mess, or a toileting accident, please inform a staff member straight away. We will promptly remove any affected materials or consumables and clean the area thoroughly to ensure safety and hygiene of others.
- 7.6 All materials and tools are washed and sanitised after each session, and where possible left in the sun to dry.
- 7.8 To ensure the space is prepared for young children, please do not arrive any earlier than 10minutes prior to your session commencing.
- 7.9 In the event of an accident or injury, staff are trained to respond calmly and effectively. All incidents will be recorded and communicated with the parent/guardian.
