About Discovery Bay
Here at Discovery Bay, we use a child led approach.
We have taken ingredients from our favorite play ideas, mixed them together with a lot of discovery and curiosity added in to come up with our approach. The children are free to move around and act within the limits of the prepared open plan setting.
We seek to promote enhanced learning through real life experiences instead of a fixed curriculum so that each child develops a love for discovery utilizing their natural interest in exploring the environment around themselves. We endeavor to use our garden. We believe that there is no unsuitable weather, only unsuitable clothing.
To allow the children to learn to ignite their curiosity, to investigate, to be imaginative, to be creative we use
• Open ended resources.
• Loose parts.
• Authentic materials; and
• Montessori equipment.
