About TAPAC - The Auckland Performing Arts Centre

One of the city's most popular performance and rehearsal venues TAPAC inclusively serves the creative needs and interests of a diverse performing arts community. TAPAC is Auckland’s most vibrant, contemporary, purpose built city fringe performing arts facility.


TAPAC actively hosts Auckland’s thriving arts companies including, Massive Theatre Company, Co. Theatre Physical, Touch Compass, The Outfit Theatre Co, House of Hudson, Prayas Indian Theatre Co., DANZ, independent arts practitioners and community performance groups.

TAPAC is also the home of the Western Springs College Performing Arts School.

TAPAC is the result of a partnership between Auckland City Council and Western Springs College.

TAPAC opened in July 2003.
