Nature Connect proudly operates at Puketapu, Hawkes Bay. Puketapu offers a native bush setting, trees, wildlife and a flowing stream. It is a beautiful tranquil setting, that encourages children to become fully immersed and appreciative of fauna and flora.

At Nature Connect we offer children the time and space that they need to connect with nature and each other. Our experiences are child initiated and link to New Zealand culture, Māori perspective, Environmental Education, Sustainable Practices and Project Play. At Nature Connect children are immersed in play through all of their senses, they get physical, they use creativity and imagination, purposeful exploration, play at deeper levels in engrossed play schemes and foster relationships. We believe our special place provides the balance that children need in the twentieth century!

Sonia Codd is the Manager/Owner of Nature Connect she is a qualified early childhood teacher, with many years’ experience in teaching, leadership and management. She brings a wealth of information and education to children of all ages. Sonia is passionate about children, sustainability and all that nature has to offer!
