Move It Gymnastics is a privately owned club based in Logan, offering a true family feel with dedicated Competition and Recreational Coaches and Judges teaching your children. All of our coaches are either current gymnasts or former gymnasts themselves, bringing real experience and passion to every class.

About Our club
Move It Gymnastics is a privately run gymnastics club, owned by director Casey Thompson. Casey is a passionate movement educator with over 23 years gymnastics teaching experience.Move It Gymnastics is a recreational and competitive gymnastics club, taking members aged 6 months+. A range of programs are offered including Pre-school (6 months 4yos), Beginner (4-11yo), Recreational Gym skills, Tumble skills and Ninja skills classes, as well as recreational MAG and WAG levels through to high level competitive squads. Also offered is Team Gym, Adults Gym, Masters and private training.

Move It Gymnastics also runs optional (non-invoiced) holiday programs during the holidays which will be released throughout the year. Competitive classes run for 11-12 weeks each Block. Please read the Competitive Squad Information pack for 2023, for further information.

Viewing Policy
Your childs safety in this gym is our priority.
Late pick-up fee:members who are collected from the gym more than 15 minutes after the finish time of their class will be charged a $25.00 late fee.
Breaches and Consequences
Move It Gymnastics expects all Parents/Guardians/Spectators to abide by the ClubsPolicies.
In instances of inappropriate behaviour where parents or spectators are in breach of the Codethe following action will be taken:
Fees Policy
Statement of commitment:
MOVE IT GYMNASTICS is committed to providing an up-to-date facility with the highest quality equipment and services. To achieve these objectives, the club must implement fees and charges for its services and facilities.
Policy Coverage:
This policy serves to cover all fee development, invoicing, collection and receipting for Move It Gymnastics.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Members are responsible for payment of all fees owed to Move It Gymnastics as per the rules outlined in this policy.
Membership fee:
In 2023 the annual membership fee structure is:
The annual membership fees are to be paid by the due date on your invoice.A full annual membership fee is charged when the member commences up until the 6th week of Block 2.A pro rata fee is charged thereafter.
This fee covers club administration costs and includes Registration and Insurance with Gymnastics Queensland and Gymnastics Australia for the calendar year. This is not included in the Block Fee structure and isNONREFUNDABLEandNOT ADJUSTABLEfor changes of mind.
Member Accounts:
Invoices are issued for Block training fees.A full Block is charged when the member commences within the 1st week of the Block. A pro rata fee is charged thereafter.Block Fees are based on the number of weeks in the Block and are calculated on the number of hours training per week. Classes are not held on Public holidays and are automatically accounted for in the invoicing, however classes are held on pupil free days.
Block fee payments areNON-REFUNDABLEandNOT ADJUSTABLEfor changes of mind. Refunds may only be granted for exceptional circumstances outlined under make-ups.

Payments:
All fees must be paid prior to commencing classes.
Option 1:Upfront payment of the full invoice amount via internet banking (preferred), Credit Card payment via EnrolMy or EFTPOS at the club. Please note, cash payment is only appropriate for items under $50.
Option 2:Direct debit consisting of 3 part-payments per block (must be organised prior tocommencing classes).
Option 3: Afterpay via EFTPOS at the club.
Block fees are to be paid by your members first class unless otherwise stated.
Invoices will not be adjusted for change of mind once you have:
If paying by Internet Banking:
- No Running in the Gym
- Follow coaches instructions:
- Enter the gym and use equipment when and how instructed by your coach
- Ask your coach if you wish to leave the apparatus for any reason
- Immediately notify your coach if you injure yourself
- Respect others at all times:
- Hands off
- Use your manners
- Bullying will not be tolerated
- Wash your hands with soap and water after using the bathroom or eating
- No food or chewing gum in the training area and keep your locker rooms clean and tidy.
- Give the participant a verbal warning and reminder of the club rules
- Place the participant in time out, from the activity, if misbehaviour continues
- If the behaviour poses a serious risk to other participants and Move It Gymnastics staff, or misbehaviour is continual then the participants parents will be phoned to collect their child and will receive a written and/or verbal notification regarding the incident
- Participants must be mentally ready to participate
- Not crying
- Not overly tired/exhausted
- Participants must be physically ready to participate
- Abrasions, blisters, warts, injured limbs must be covered/strapped prior to training (Move It Gymnastics does not provide first aid supplies unless the injury occurs during the training session)
- Have had afternoon tea
- Hair tied up or out of face
- Excess jewellery removed
- Wearing correct attire
- Girls - firm fitted options: leotards, bike pants or crop tops
- Boys sport shorts, singlet, longs or skins
- Water bottle full and in hand
- Show respect to all coaches, judges, officials and other gymnasts.
- Listen to your coach and follow their instructions.
- Respect fellow club members by providing support and encouragement.
- Be a role model for gymnastics, other gymnasts and your club.
- Show good sportsmanship at all times, regardless of results.
- Bullying is never accepted and will not be tolerated.
- Derogatory language based on gender, culture or impairment is never accepted and will not be tolerated
- Always train with a positive attitude, to be the best gymnast that you can be.
- Be punctual to training and competitions.
- Take care of the Clubs equipment.
- The member will receive a written notification of breach and reminder of Code of Conduct
- The Member will need to return the written notification signed upon next visit to the club
- Multiple breaches of Move It Policies will be dealt with according to the Membership breach process
- Respect coaches and officials decisions at training and events
- Be courteous towards gymnasts at both training and competitions no verbal or physical abuse towards participants
- Encourage children to participate if they are interested. If they are not, dont force them
- Focus on participating, reducing the emphasis on winning.
- Encourage children to always play by the rules.
- Do not criticize children in front of others, but reserve constructive criticism for more private moments.
- Remember a child learns best by example. Applaud a good routine from all teams.
- Set a good example by your own conduct, behaviour and appearance.
- Remain within the designated viewing areas behind the fence at all times. There is no admittance to the training area unless participating in parent assisted class.
- For the safety of all participants, please refrain from communicating with the gymnasts and coaches during class times (eg. Calling out to your child over the fence). Parents are not to interrupt any coaching matters while viewing classes. All coaching matters are to be handled only by the coach in charge. Parents are not to communicate with their child once class has commenced. This is distracting and unsafe for the participants.
- Only urgent information regarding your child and the immediate class should be relayed to the coachbeforeclass starts. If class has already started, the participant should relay information to the coach to avoid disrupting other participants learning. All other questions and training information needs to be communicated via e-mail.
- Please notify the club if you have any particular requirements regarding adults who should or should not be collecting your child from the venue
- Children can be distracted by parents watching them and lose concentration.
- This distraction and lack of concentration can lead to gymnasts being in danger whilst doing their skills.
- Children feel a need to perform for their parents.
- Parents do not see an improvement in their children if they are watching all the time.
- The Spectator will receive a verbal warning and may be requested to leave the premises
- The Spectator will receive a written notification of breach and reminder of Code of Behaviour
- The Spectator will need to return the written notification signed upon next visit to the club
- Multiple breaches of Move It Policies will be dealt with according to the Membership breach process
- Pre-school Program -$95.00
- Beginners, Recreational, Team Gym, Adults, Masters, Privates, Artistic and Development - $110
- Junior and Senior Competition Squads - $140
- confirmed joining in writing (for the first invoice of the year) or
- attended x1 lesson of the block (continuing blocks thereafter).
- Bank account details are printed on all Invoices
- Please use the member's surname and first name and/or Invoice number as the Payment Reference
- Blocks 2, 3 and 4:
- It is assumed that all members will continue each block and places are held for them.
- Parents are requested to notify the Club prior to the commencement of the new Block if a member will not be returning. Once a member has attended their first class of a block, their invoice will not be refunded or adjusted for changes of mind. Once your booking is confirmed for the block, you are committed to the block, its cost and the annual insurance cost.
- If by the 2ndlesson of the new block the member has not returned nor contacted the club in writing, it is assumed they are not returning and their space in their class will be forfeited.
- Block 1:
- Move It Gymnastics will notify members of the re-enrolment requirements and dates for block 1. The process includes an advanced payment, which is then subtracted from the block 1 invoice.
Late fees:
MOVE IT GYMNASTICS is privately owned and relies upon the timely payment of fees in order to operate efficiently.
Fees must be paid in full prior to your childs first class. Arrangements (option 2) can be made in advance with the club bookkeeper via email at[email=feesmoveitgym@gmail.com]feesmoveitgym@gmail.com[/email](Direct debit of 3 payments per block).
Non-payment will result in participants not being allowed onto the gym floor. This means that Staff will be calling parents to come and collect participants to rectify the issue.
Make-ups:
Move It Gymnastics is committed to supporting members to have the opportunity to attend all classes within a block. Therefore, we offer make-up classes for missed timetabled classes per block (which must be taken within that block). Privates are not timetabled classes and therefore we will not arrange a private make-up, although participants may join a timetabled class as a make-up.
Non-attendance:
If you miss a class, please email[email=moveitgym@gmail.com]moveitgym@gmail.com[/email]to book a make-up class (Due to safety reasons, make-ups will only be available in classes with space). You must book and attend your make-up class within the same block as the missed class or they are forfeited.
Squad members are not required to attend make-up classes within each block and are entitled to attend make-up classes anytime within the calendar year.
Class Cancellation:
If a class is cancelled by the club, a make-up class will be offered via the above-mentioned make-up process. If the make-up class cannot be held, a pro rata adjusted credit of block fees will be made to your account.
Illness or Injury:
Application for a credit or refund may be submitted in writing to the club director if illness or injury extends 2 or more weeks. Any such claim must be accompanied by a medical certificate. In the case of Injury, the athlete may need to produce a written clearance to continue training from a doctor.
Family Holidays:
Inability to attend due to holidays being taken during scheduled class times will not entitle the family to a refund or credit at any time. Make-up classes may be booked in advance if you know you will be away later in the block. Due to waiting lists for classes, full fees must be paid to retain your spot within a class.
Change of class:
Members may change class due to coach request (move-ups, etc), or parent request (wanting to try different programs, etc) any time throughout the block. Block fees invoiced will be adjusted pro rata and if applicable credit of block fees will be made to your account.
Ceasing at our Request:
If the club discontinues a program, withdraws a position or requests a member be removed from a program, the members block fees account will be given a pro rata adjusted credit or refund.
Voluntary Withdrawal:
No refunds apply to Gymnastics Queensland Registration, Club membership or Training Fees.
Clothing and Merchandise:
No refunds or credit will be given for merchandise or clothing purchased in the club.
Equipment Levy:
An equipment levy of $7.50 per block per family is charged and is included on the block fees invoice.
Privacy Policy
MOVE IT GYMNASTICS is committed to providing you with the highest levels of membership services. This includes protecting your privacy. Move It Gymnastics has undertaken to comply with the requirements of the Privacy Act, 1988 and National Privacy Principles included in the Privacy Act (Private Sector) Amendment Act 2000, which sets out a number of principles concerning the protection of individuals personal information.
The aim of these laws is to ensure that organisations handle personal information responsibly and provide a consistent approach to its collection, use and disclosure. These laws also give the individual new rights such as access to their personal information and the ability to correct it, if needed.

This policy applies to Move It Gymnastics staff, volunteers, members and all users of the clubs facilities and classes.

What is personal information?
Personal information is information about an individual who can be identified, or whose identity could be reasonably ascertained from the information.
How we collect personal information:
To deliver and enhance the services offered by Move it Gymnastics certain personal information is collected. Move It Gymnastics collects personal information from you when:
- You register to become a member.
- You register to become an affiliated technical member.
- You enter a gymnastics event or participation program.
- Provide the services you require
- Internal accounting and administration
- Regulatory reporting and compliance
- Gymnastics Australia
- Gymnastics Queensland
- Outsourced service providers who manage the services we provide to you including insurers.
- Our professional advisors, including our accountants, auditors and lawyers
- Government and regulatory authorities and other organisations, as required or authorised by law.
- The Member will receive a written notification of breach
- The Member will need to return the written notification signed upon next visit to the club
- Multiple breaches of any Move It Policies will result in the Director of the Club calling a meeting with the member to rectify the issues and determine if membership should continue
- If no resolution can be found from a multiple breach of Membership meeting, then the club reserves the right to terminate the membership.
