About Mitchelton Youth Club
The Mitchelton Youth Club (MYC) has been a member of the community for over 80 years.
We providing a curriculum from KinderGym, progressing through to higher levels, across multiple Gymsports. Our mission is to create a sporting environment which facilitates the development of healthy, confident, responsible young people who appreciate their own worth and abilities, while also appreciating and caring about others.
MYC is one of the few clubs in the state to offer a curriculum which enables a child to start at KinderGym and progress to high levels in numerous sports. We are also in the position to offer inter-related sports; we run artistic gymnastics, trampoline sports, freestyle gymnastics, acrobatic gymnastics, and tumbling at the one venue.

This fee is good for one calendar year.
MISSED SESSION POLICY
No refund is given for missed sessions.

An alternate class option will be offered at time of absence notification to be attended within 7 days, wherever possible.

Where a gymnasts participation in the program is reduced through injury or illness consideration will be given to a reduction in fees provided that: A medical certificate is provided supporting the gymnasts inability to participate and the period of non-participation is for a minimum of 3 consecutive weeks. Gymnast/parents seeking a reduction of gymnastics fees on the basis of injury and/or illness should submit a request in writing to the Club Manager together with medical evidence detailing the reasons and the period of incapacity. There will be no exceptions to this rule, and it is the Clubs Managers full discretion as to whether these are awarded or not on a case by case basis.
DROP PROCEDURE:
PARENTS MUST NOTIFY THE CLUB TO DROP AN ATHLETE FROM CLASS. Only a written notice via email, regular postal mail or hand delivered to our front desk will be acceptable. Cancellation period as listed in the Member Handbook will commence from the date written notice is received.
Please note: You are responsible for payment for your athletes classes WHETHER OR NOT YOUR ATHLETE ATTENDS CLASSuntil the time you notify the staff VIA WRITTEN NOTICE and the cancellation period has concluded. Please do not rely on your athlete to verbally let us know that he/she will no longer be attending classes. If an athlete stops coming to class without notification then that athlete will still be charged the entire term fees owed. This charge will be for holding the student's place in that class instead of offering that place to one of the many on a waiting list.
WHEN COMPETITION REPLACES TRAINING
In the event that an athlete attending an outside competition at which MYC provides coaches and/or Judges, is unable to attend their regular training due to competition (time conflict or class cancellation) MYC will use the event as a replacement for their regular training session. Notification of the sessions being replaced by competition will be provided to the parents of the athlete in the week leading to the competition to minimise confusion when there is multiple weeks of competition in a row.
Credits/Make-ups for the missed session will only be made in the event that an athletes session is cancelled and they are not attending the competition. For events that run over more than the weekend (State and National Clubs) MYC may change the training schedule for the entire week, in the event of this happening MYC will give as much notice as possible.
