WELCOME TO THE KIDS INC OSCAR PROGRAMME
Enrolment: Enrolment is finalized upon completion of Enrolment in our online booking system.
This can also be accessed through our website: www.kidsinc.co.nz
Please update your child's profile of any changes as it is crucial we have up-to-date enrolment information- especially Class numbers for Term time.
Meals: We will provide breakfast during the B4 school programme, afternoon tea during the after school programme, and afternoon tea during the Holiday Programme.
You will need to provide a packed lunch during Holiday Programmes.
Half day sessions in holiday programme do not receive afternoon tea
Please ensure that your child does not bring extra sweets or junk food.
Absences: We must be notified in writing for any absences or change of booking. Please Txt (ASC) before 2pm or (HP) before 9am, for absences, or non-contact fee may be applied.

No refund for absences unless one weeks notice is given.
Change of Booking: Any changes to bookings require one weeks notice.
Parents are unable to swap to another day, unless one weeks notice is given.
For cancellations a $10 / family admin fee is charged.
Collecting your child: If a person arrives to collect your child whose name is not on your enrolment form, then we are obliged (for your child's safety) to keep your child in our care until you have been located for consent. Prior notification is essential. Please txt the Centre phone 022 5437462.
Please remember that the programme closes at5.45 p.m.
Late fees will be charged after this time.
Signing your child in and out:
When dropping off and/or collecting your child from the programme, it is essential that you or a designated adult, sign your child in/out of programme.
The supervisor will show you how to do this. We need to know that your child has arrived / gone home safely.
FEES: Fees are to be paid in advance, either weekly or fortnightly as arranged with Admin..
Payment can be made by cash, stripe (credit / debit card) or via Internet Banking.

Overdue Invoices that are outstanding for 30 days from the invoice date will be subject to a 10% late payment fee.
If your account is overdue and requires debt collection, you will be liable for all and any legal and/or collection charges necessary to recover this amount plus fees.
Childcare Oscar subsidies available for qualifying families through Work and Income NZ.
Information and Application forms are available online or in the Centre.
You are responsible for your fees until we know how much subsidy you are entitled too. A percentage of your fees may required be to accept your enrolment.
**You must pay for the sessions that your child is booked in for whether s/he attends or not.
If your regular term time booking falls on a Public Holiday or teacher only day you will still be charged your normal fee.**
This is usual childcare practice. (Staff & overheads still need to be paid).
If you do not want to pay for these, you must change your booking outside the one weeks notice period.
Please note that if you receive full time discounts, these will not apply for that week.
Admin will charge $10 if required to make this change for you.
Teachers Only days.
You will still be charged your normal session fee if non-attendance.
Half day fee, if attending is $35.
Cancellations and change of booked days require one weeks notice.
Policies and Procedures:
Please see the supervisor if you wish to view our Policies and Procedures folder. It contains detailed information on health and safety, making complaints, employment practices, privacy etc. .
PLEASE provide a sunhat as per our sun safe policy during the summer months.
Behaviour management: It is our goal to ensure that children and families experience an environment where they are safe, secure, respected and their dignity is protected. This is done through the use of positive reinforcement and a stimulating and varied programme to ensure against boredom. Every effort will be made to help your child settle into the programme. However, if a child's behaviour is consistently harmful to the other children, parents will be asked to remove him / her from the programme.
Emergencies: Our staff are trained to deal with emergencies. In the case of a serious accident involving your child the staff will contact you and take your child to the nearest medical facility. In a civil emergency the staff will remain at the centre until all children are collected.
Excursions: Parents will be informed before any children are taken on outings.
Child safety: The programme has a detailed child protection policy, which includes the reporting of any suspected child abuse to the Ministry for Vulnerable Children - Oranga Tamariki.
Complaints: The programme has a complaints procedure. If you have any problems please approach the Centre Manager and they will be happy to assist you with your concerns. Further information is available on our website.
Sick children: Please do not send along sick children, as we do not have the facilities to care for them. If a child becomes ill during programme hours, parents will be called and asked to collect them.
**The supervisor has my permission to arrange any necessary urgent care at my cost.**
If you have any questions about the programme please do not to hesitate to ask a member of staff.
Your contact details may be viewed by the Ministry of Social Development for audit purposes.
All care will be taken to provide supervision of children attending the programme in accordance with programme policy and procedures.
I acknowledge however, that neither the staff nor management of the programme will be liable for any loss or damage (By way of accident, injury, theft or otherwise) arising out of attendance at the programme.
