To all new parents, we wish you a warm welcome to our rangatahi youth programmes. To those of you who have been with us before, thanks for your continued support. The following is up-to-date information about our programmes. Please take careful note of the information included as this ensures the safety of your children while they are in our care.
Fee Payment
Fees to be paid fortnightly on invoice.
When paying via Internet banking, please include your child's name in the reference section.
If fees are 4 weeks in arrears, the service will be withdrawn, and all costs associated with collecting overdue fees will be at the parents' expense.
If you are having problems paying the fees, please contact the Manager ASAP to discuss the matter.
Enrolments & Personal Details
Only enrolled children will be accepted into GECH's programmes.
Bookings will only be confirmed once we receive the enrolment form, including the safety form.
Immediately advise the Manager and update your safety form if changes are required to your contact details, authorised people, or emergency contacts.
Please note: Only the listed people will be permitted to collect your child/children.
All records kept by the programme are confidential. The privacy of childrens personal details will be respected at all times.
Casual Booking
Casual bookings in GECH's programmes are welcome, but are subject to space availability, the programme format, and a completed enrolment form.
Absences
If your child is not attending, this must be reported by email by 2 pm on the day in question. If no notification is received, the full session fee will be charged.
Personal Requirements/Items
GECH takes no responsibility if personal items are damaged or lost.
Behaviour Management
Please advise the Manager of any situation that may disrupt the child/children, or of any other relevant conditions.
Behaviour that is consistently disruptive or harmful to others may result in exclusion from GECH's programmes after other possibilities have been explored.
Supervision
Children will be supervised at all times according to the 1 Adult-to-8-children ratio.
Staff will clearly explain to children the programme expectations, rules, and/or guidelines.
Missing Children
If a child is missing, the following procedures will be followed:
Staff will conduct a thorough search. Parents will be contacted, or emergency contacts, if parents are unavailable, emergency services will be contacted.
Accident Procedures
Staff are qualified First Aiders. In the event of an accident, staff will immediately inform the Manager and appropriate First Aid will be administered.
If a serious injury occurs, parents will be notified, an ambulance will be called, or the injured child will be transported by van or car to the nearest A&E clinic.
All costs incurred will be the parents' expense.
A report will be completed, and the parent must read and sign it.
Illness & Medication
No sick children will be admitted to the programme. If a child becomes ill during the day, parents will be notified so they can collect their child. Due to the short nature of the rangatahi youth programmes, GECH takes no responsibility for holding or administering medications for children. If medication is required during a programme, parents must ensure that their children's medical needs are meet.
Policies & Procedures
Copies of GECH's policies and procedures are available on request to the Manager.
Signing the enrolment form acknowledges that neither the Management of Glen Eden Community House, nor its employed or volunteer staff, will be liable for any loss or damage arising by way of accident, injury, theft or otherwise while your child/children are in attendance at the programme.
Lost Property
It is the child's responsibility to look after their property. Any lost property not collected after 14 days will be donated to charity.
Damage To Community House Property
Willful or deliberate damage to the House's property or facilities will be the parents' responsibility. The parent may be requested to pay for the cost of repair or replacement.
