Inspired by various artists such as Andy Warhol and Michael Craig Martin, we will focus on different ways of artistically interpreting the everyday using mediums such as collage, drawing, sculpture and painting.

We will explore, experiment and learn about different materials, tools and styles to create unique works - all showing different interpretations of everyday objects in the coolest, creative ways.

Our after school art session is 3-5pm. For busy families, we also offer a late pickup until 6pm. During this additional hour, children can enjoy activities such as colouring-in, free drawing, and games in a calm, welcoming environment. You can select this option in the additional items section below.

Please note: Collections 10 minutes or more after the session ends will be counted as a late pickup and invoiced accordingly. We appreciate your effort to arrive on time, or a little early. Thank you!

Terms & Conditions — Creative Matters These terms apply to both our After School Workshops and Holiday Workshops and are designed to ensure a smooth and fair experience for all.

AFTER SCHOOL WORKSHOPS Term Bookings

Classes begin in Week 2 of each school term (unless otherwise stated).
Full payment is required before the programme begins.
Weekly payment arrangements are not available.
Bookings are confirmed once payment is received. Payment needs to clear at least 5 days prior to the term start date.
We operate on teacher only days as normal.

Class Ratios

Maximum of 13 children per class with one educator (13:1 ratio).

Missed Classes

If your child is unable to attend, please text your educator directly.
Missed classes cannot be made up, refunded, or credited.

Credits Only Policy

Once the term begins, no refunds will be issued under any circumstances.
Credits are valid for a future booking within 12 months and are non-transferable.

Class Cancellations

If a class is cancelled due to external circumstances (e.g. venue closure), a make-up class will be provided in person or online.
If an educator is sick or isolating, a replacement will be arranged or a make-up class scheduled.

Low Enrolment

A minimum of 6 children is required for a class to proceed.
Booking numbers are reviewed 3 days before the first class. If low, the start may be postponed by one week.
If the class is cancelled after this review, a credit will be issued for the postponed session.

HOLIDAY WORKSHOPS Payment

Payment must be made at least 5 days prior to the class.
Bookings are only confirmed once payment is received.

Unpaid Bookings

If payment isn’t received on time, your booking will be moved to the Waiting List and offered to the next person.

Unable to Attend

Please notify us via email (admin@creativematters.co.nz), phone, or text if your child can’t attend.

Credits Only Policy

We do not offer refunds for holiday workshop changes or cancellations.
If you notify us at least 5 days in advance, a credit will be issued for use within 12 months.
Credits are non-refundable and non-transferable.

Cancellations

BEHAVIOUR POLICY Our workshops are for children who are enthusiastic about art and can focus for several hours (with breaks). If a child is disengaged or disrupting the environment, we may contact you to pick them up early. In this case, a refund for the unused portion of the session may be offered.

RISK & SAFETY

Each venue has a current risk assessment, available upon request.
All educators are police vetted and trained to manage venue-specific risks.
Children are supervised at all times, and you will be contacted immediately in the event of an incident.
