About Couchy's Total Fitness
Widely regarded as Illawarra's premium destination for Junior Athletic Development.
Based in ENGADINE - THIRROUL - FAIRY MEADOW -SHELLHARBOUR
We have been providing Speed and Agility training to field-based athletes for 12 years and have a stack of undeniable proof that our systems work.
Our training systems have been designed to effectively;
- Improve Sprint Mechanics
- Maximise Top-end Speed
- Develop powerful Acceleration and sharp Deceleration
- Improve Agility (change-of-direction)
- Build a robust Aerobic base (conditioning)
Several of our early clients are now flourishing in the NRL (Toby Couchman, Ryan Couchman and Jackson Sherub) while we also helped revamp Cody Ramsey's running style as he resumed his career following a 3 year health setback.
2025-26 has seen several teenage clients reach NSW selection (or higher) in sports such as League, Union, Basketball, Touch, Oz-tag and Soccer.
Whilst we are proud of the stellar results some of our athletes achieve, we consider ourselves effort-based coaches and as such are more focused on each individuals improvements and processes.
In short, we'll take anyone who is willing to have a go and strive to better themselves.

Terms and Conditions: Couchy's Total Fitness
By completing the registration and payment, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions.
Welcome to Couchy’s! Before enrolling your child, please review our terms and conditions. These rules ensure a safe & organized environment where all participants can perform at their best.
1. Registration and Enrolment
- Participants must meet the age requirements for the specific class.
- Registration is complete only after full payment is received.
- Parents must provide accurate contact and emergency information.
- Parents must disclose any medical conditions, allergies, or injuries before class.
- In most cases, we will be able to work around minor niggles.
- Parents authorize coaches to seek emergency medical care if necessary.
- Please arrive at, or 5 minutes before, start of class
- Please text in advance if your child is running late, as this will help us planning group numbers
- Parents are welcome to "drop-and run" but are expected to be at venue for pick-up at end of session
- Children must respect all coaches and other participants.
- Bullying, rough play, or foul language will not be tolerated.
- Continuous disruptive behaviour may result in removal from the program.
- We accept a wide range of ability levels but insist that all attendees genuinely strive to learn & improve. Anyone not meeting our thresholds for effort & concentration may be asked to leave the program in the best interests of other participants.
- Football boots are ideal as they provide optimal grip for our Agility components. In saying that, some may prefer to wear joggers if they seek greater cushioning.
- Comfortable, weather-appropriate sportswear is required.
- Please bring a labelled water bottle to every class.
- Classes run in light-moderate rain but may be cancelled for extreme weather.
- Alternate venues may be used in the event of ground closures.
- Cancellations or venue changes will be communicated via [SMS/Email] before relevant class.
- Makeup sessions or credits will be provided for classes cancelled by management.
- Fees are non-refundable after the term or session begins.
- Missed classes by choice are not eligible for refunds or makeup sessions.
- Goodwill credits may be provided in lieu of Injury/Illness lasting 3 weeks or longer at the discretion of management.
- We occasionally take photos or videos during class for promotional use.
- By agreeing, you grant permission to use this media on our website and social media.
- If you wish to opt out, please check the box on your registration form or email us.
- All efforts will be made to provide a safe training environment.
- Running involves inherent risks of minor injuries like scrapes, bumps, or twists.
- Couchy's Total Fitness and its coaches are not liable for personal injuries or lost property.
- Parents assume all risks associated with their child's participation.
