British Young Pilots are running a tremendously exciting and unique opportunity for children aged 11-16.
The course is half theory based, teaching the children about physics, meteorology and about the aircrafts themselves, and half practical flying skills via a flight simulator.
The aim is to get the children learning their flying skills through the sims, with the aid of the instructors, rather than learning them in the aircrafts to keep cost down for parents. They can then perfect and practice these through flights in a real aircraft.
Our students have the opportunity to fly a real aircraft and apply their newly-developed skills and knowledge as much as they wish. However, it is not compulsory that they fly every week, we simply recommend at least 1-2 flights per term. Note - these are at an additional cost of £90 per 30 minute flight.
Our flying club is the perfect environment for children to build new skills, gain confidence, boost self-esteem and feel a sense of belonging to an amazing, enthusiastic community.
Children can sign up and just do a single term but those who choose to stay with the club can progress through the BYP syllabus levels 1-4 and pass civilian flying exams as they go. This means that, for a motivated, committed student, its possible to gain a private pilots license by the age of 17.
