Overview:
Think the RAF is all about polished boots and marching drills? Think again.
Step inside the world of operational fast jet flying and experience the intense, high-stakes routine of a frontline fighter pilot. Designed for aspiring aviators aged 11–17, the Fast Jet Pilot Day Course is not just a flight experience — it’s an immersive mission day. From morning briefing to mission execution and debrief, you’ll be trained the way real fast jet crews are prepared for operations.
Led by a real fast jet pilot, this course takes you through an authentic on-base routine. You’ll learn how fighter pilots start their day: interpreting weather data, reading aircraft serviceability reports, analysing NOTAMs, and preparing for a real mission briefing. You’ll be coached in military-style flight planning, using genuine RAF mission planning techniques like the Four T's.
Then it’s time to suit up.
Using our flight simulators, you’ll take the controls, push throttle to the stops, and execute your fast jet mission. You’ll practice high speed nav, time-on-target runs, and evasive manoeuvres — all guided by your instructor.
This is no ordinary air force-themed day. This is ops day. Real structure. Real pressure. Real flying.
You'll then be thoroughly deriefed and taught the importance of self critique to maximise learning opportunities and push your capabilities - just like the pro's.
