BYP are running an exciting new opportunity for children aged 11-16!
This co-curricular activity operates as a combination of learning practical flying skills via a simulator and also learning theoretical knowledge covering everything from physics & meteorology to navigation & engineering. Our BYP instructors are typically retired airline or military pilots, with expertise in aviation.
Our flying club is the perfect environment for children to build new skills, gain confidence, boost self-esteem and feel a sense of belonging to an amazing, enthusiastic community.
Children can sign up and just do a single term but those who choose to stay with the club can progress through the BYP syllabus levels and pass civilian flying exams as they go. This means that, for a motivated, committed student, its possible to gain a private pilots license by the age of 17.
Out students have the opportunity to fly a real aircraft and apply their newly-developed skills and knowledge as much as they wish. However, it is not compulsory that they fly every week, we simply recommend at least 1-2 flights per term.
Note - these are at an additional cost of £90 per 30 minute flight.
