British Young Pilots are running an exciting and unique opportunity for children aged 11-16.
The course is half theory based, teaching the children about physics, meteorology and aircrafts , and half practical flying skills via a flight simulator.
The aim is to get children learning flying skills through the simulators, with the aid of the instructors, rather than learning them in aircrafts to keep cost down for parents. They can then perfect and practice these through flights in a real aircraft.
Our students have the opportunity to fly a real aircraft and apply their newly-developed skills and knowledge as often as they want. While it is not compulsory that they fly every week, we recommend at least 1-2 flights per term. Note - these are at an additional cost of £99 per 30 minute flight.
Our flying club is the perfect environment for children to build new skills, gain confidence, boost self-esteem and feel a sense of belonging to an amazing, enthusiastic community.
Children can sign up to do a single term but those who choose to stay with the club can progress through the BYP syllabus levels 1-4 and pass civilian flying exams as they go. This means that for a motivated, committed student, it is possible to gain a private pilots license by the age of 17.
