In week two of the July School Holidays, Brickworks Drama is back to run five days of fun, friendly drama workshops!
With the kind support of the Creative Communities Scheme, we're offering workshops for 6 - 15-year-olds (in age-appropriate groups).
Our students gain confidence, enhancing their communication and teamwork skills through fun games and exercises taught by the experienced Brickworks drama tutors.
Kids! We need your help! This winter Te Atatū has experienced a cold snap and the wetlands are now the icelands! Very strange, large footprints have been seen in the snow. Does Te Atatū have its very own Big Foot? Bring your beanies and scarves and help us solve this Mid-Winter Mystery!
When you build a spaceship, don’t forget your maps! Today we’re making rockets and blasting off, but oh no! What happens if we get lost in space? Will we meet a friendly alien or the Man in the Moon? Maybe we’ll catch a shooting star or swim in the lakes of Titan! Join us for an intergalactic adventure that’s sure to be out-of-this world!
Today we welcome Meghan and Sherree (sp?) from Music Stars to help us perform our own musical theatre number! You don’t have to be a confident singer to join in the fun. Soloists and chorus singers will all have so much fun today!
This year, one of our fave movies, Jumanji, is turning 30! So, we’re throwing a birthday party, and you are invited! Join us for a day of jungle-themed games, birthday cake, and who knows? Maybe we’ll find ourselves stuck in a game!!
Today we’re imagining that there is a 12 year old kid named Dom who gives out the best advice on popular TV show “Dear Dom”. Today, we’ll all dream up letters to write to Dom - common, everyday problems that kids face, i.e. my little sister keeps stealing my shoes; I hate eating veggies; why do my parents put me to bed when I am definitely not tired? Using props and costumes, we’ll act out the problems along with the solutions Dom offers.
