Terms & Conditions
- By booking a child into a specific activity in EnrolMy, you are giving permission for your child to engage in this programme, any excursion days that are planned for this day, including transport to and from the excursion, or transport from your designated school.
- Te Kaha Kids will use company vehicles, staff vehicles, and hired vehicles as required. Any vehicle used will be warranted and registered and have full licensed drivers.
- If an excursion day requires to be changed, for example pouring down with rain on a beach day, then parents will be notified by text as soon as possible.
- Invoices will be sent automatically when you make a booking. Each invoice is due by the end of the current term/holiday period.Failure to pay invoices by the due date may result in legal proceedings to recover debt.
- Oscar subsidies, Individualised funding, and Carer Support Days are accepted as payment.
- Oscar Subsidy applications or declarations need to be completed three weeks before your child begins the programme
- Pricing varies depending on the needs of your child. If a child would normally require a teacher aide at school, they tend to have best support at a 1:4 ratio.
- If a child is usually booked in a 1:4 ratio, they will require a 1:1 ratio for water activities such as the pool orkayaking.
- Te Kaha Kids takes non payment seriously. If fees are not paid on time 2 weeks in a row, TKK reserves the right to un-enrol a child from the programme until the fees are paid in full.
- We are a Bully-Free Zone. This means we take bullying very seriously and will work with children in the long term to prevent this behaviour. In some cases, children may be sent home for the day if bullying continues to occur.
- Medication needs to be given to the staff at the start of each day. This will be stored in a locked cupboard with the completed medication management form. Please download this form from the booking page, or get one from the sign in desk.
- Please do not send your child to the programme if they are unwell or you suspect they may be getting sick. This is to protect other children in the programme who may be sensitive to these illnesses.
- Children need to bring a Jacket and a change of clothes.
- If it is expected to be a very hot day, please pack a towel and togs as we may do water play outside.
- Parents need to provide sunscreen for their children. TKK will do everything we can to ensure your child is sun smart.
- A file will be kept by Te Kaha Kids containing all relevant forms, permission slips, support plans, and Oscar subsidy information about your child. These files are stored inside a locked filing cabinet in Petras office. Staff are given access to the Support Plans only, and the CEO and General Manager will have access to the entire file. These files are available for parents to view if requested. These files will from time to time be sighted by the Oscar Accreditation Team through The Ministry of Social Development.
- Te Kaha Kids does not operate on Statutory Days unless advised otherwise.
- Please give two weeks notice for bookings and changes to bookings. Failing to do so may result in being charged at the full rate.
- The complaints procedure can be found on our information board in the foyer. For all complaints please contact Petra Tuhura, Chief Executive Officer, at petra@tekahakids.com
- While the management team of Te Kaha Kids, it's employed and volunteer staff will take care to provide proper supervision of all children, neither the management nor the employed staff shall have any personal liability in respect of any act of omission out of any session or activity of the Before & After School, or Day-Camp Programmes.
- Te Kaha Kids holds Level 3 Accreditation from the Ministry of Social Development, and to the best of our abilities will adhere to all current legislation relative to the running of our Before & After School, and Day-Camp Programmes.
