This brand-new Robotics with Python Course is designed for students who want to take their coding and engineering skills to the next level. Over the course of one year, students will learn Python programming while building and controlling real robots and drones.
 
The curriculum is based on Carnegie Mellon University’s Robotics Academy, a world-class provider of STEM education. Students will begin with Python fundamentals and quickly progress to real-world applications, including coding robots to navigate mazes, balance themselves, play soccer, and even program drones with AI-powered vision.
 
Whether your child is new to Python or already familiar with coding, this course offers the perfect balance of structured learning and creative problem-solving.
 
Here’s a sample of what students will cover: Python Coding Basics
  • Syntax, variables, loops, and functions
  • Classes, objects, and data structures
 
Robotics Projects
  • Cargo retrieval, maze navigation, parallel parking
  • Colour sorter, traffic lights, robotic arm, stair climber
  • Robo Soccer and line following using calculus (PID)
 
Drone Projects
  • Keyboard-controlled flight and aerial mapping
  • Face and object tracking
  • Gesture recognition and traffic analysis
 
AI & Computer Vision
  • Hands-on introduction to computer vision concepts
  • Using sensors, cameras, and data to make smart decisions
