About Adelaide Robotics and Computer Science Academy
Welcome to the Adelaide Robotics and Computer Science Academy (ARCSA), one of South Australia’s leading providers of robotics, computer science and artificial intelligence education.
For over a decade, we have inspired young people to explore technology through hands-on learning, a structured curriculum, and real-world problem-solving. Our programs are designed to develop computational thinking, creativity and confidence while preparing students for a future increasingly shaped by robotics and AI.
Our children and teenagers pathway includes:
• Robotics with Blocks (ages 8-13), based on Carnegie Mellon University’s Robotics Academy curriculum.
• Artificial Intelligence & Robotics (AIR), our advanced program for high school students, combines ROS 2, robotics, computer vision and artificial intelligence using professional robotics platforms.
In 2026, ARCSA also introduced its first course designed specifically for adults.
Professional Robotics with ROS 2 for Adults is a face-to-face evening program for engineers, software developers, IT professionals, teachers, university students, makers and anyone interested in learning how modern autonomous robots are built and programmed. Participants learn Linux, Python, ROS 2 and AI while working with professional robotics hardware in our BotBox Robotics Lab.
Whether you are enrolling your child or investing in your own professional development, ARCSA offers structured learning pathways built on an internationally recognised curriculum, expert instruction and practical experience.
We look forward to welcoming you to the academy.

Terms & Conditions
These Terms and Conditions apply to all students and participants enrolled in programs run by the Adelaide Robotics and Computer Science Academy (ARCSA), including children, teenagers, and adults.
By enrolling in any ARCSA program, parents, guardians, or adult participants agree to the terms outlined below.
[hr]
ARCSA offers structured educational programs at different levels, including:
- Robotics with Blocks (introductory level)
- Robotics with Python (intermediate level)
- Artificial Intelligence and Robotics (AIR) (advanced, university-level)
- Adult robotics programs
Programs differ in complexity, equipment used, and expectations of independence and responsibility. All programs prioritise safety, respect, and meaningful learning.
[hr]
All students are expected to:
- Follow the instructions provided by the instructors
- Treat equipment, staff, and other students with respect
- Behave in a manner that does not disrupt learning or compromise safety
ARCSA reserves the right to remove a student from a session if behaviour is unsafe or disruptive. Persistent behavioural issues may result in suspension or cancellation of enrolment without refund.
[hr]
Some ARCSA programs involve the use of advanced equipment, including but not limited to:
- Autonomous robots
- Sensors (e.g. cameras, LIDAR)
- Robotic arms and mechanical systems
- Drones (in approved environments)
All reasonable safety precautions are taken. However, participation involves inherent risks associated with educational robotics activities.
ARCSA is not liable for injury, loss, or damage arising from normal participation in activities, except where required by law.
Students must follow all safety instructions at all times. Failure to do so may result in removal from activities.
[hr]
ARCSA provides professional and educational equipment for student use. Students are expected to treat all equipment with care.
Intentional damage or damage caused by reckless behaviour may result in repair or replacement costs being charged to the parent or participant.
Normal wear and tear is expected and not charged.
[hr]
Regular attendance is important for progression.
- If a student cannot attend a session, parents should notify ARCSA as early as possible.
- Approved absences may be eligible for a credit, subject to notice requirements and availability.
- Credits are applied to the student’s account and are not refundable in cash.
If you believe an approved absence credit has not been applied, please email ARCSA with the relevant date(s).
[hr]
- Fees are charged as advertised for each program.
- Invoices have a 28-day payment period, unless otherwise stated.
- Weekly or fortnightly instalment options may be available via Enrolmy.
- Payments are managed through Enrolmy or other approved methods.
ARCSA does not control third-party platform fees (e.g., credit card processing fees) that may be charged by the platform provider.
[hr]
- Credits may be issued at ARCSA’s discretion for approved absences or exceptional circumstances.
- Credits are applied to accounts and are not transferable or redeemable for cash.
[hr]
ARCSA may offer discounts, including:
- Multiple booking discounts (e.g. siblings or enrolment in multiple courses)
- Referral discounts, where a new enrolment mentions an existing family
Discounts are subject to current terms, availability, and verification. Discounts may be cumulative where explicitly stated.
[hr]
Some programs offer optional assessments and certificates, including certificates issued by external organisations.
Certificates are awarded only upon successful completion of required assessments and are not guaranteed. Certificates do not constitute formal qualifications unless explicitly stated.
[hr]
ARCSA may organise excursions or external activities as part of its programs.
- Participation may require additional consent forms.
- ARCSA is not responsible for incidents occurring outside its direct supervision or premises, except where required by law.
- Transport arrangements, where applicable, will be communicated separately.
[hr]
Adult participants:
- Participate voluntarily and at their own risk
- Are responsible for their own conduct and safety
- Acknowledge that programs are educational and not professional certification unless explicitly stated
Adult programs are subject to the same expectations of respect, safety, and conduct as student programs.
[hr]
ARCSA staff do not administer medication.
Parents or participants must inform ARCSA of any relevant medical conditions that may affect participation.
ARCSA maintains a nut-aware environment. While precautions are taken, ARCSA cannot guarantee a nut-free space.
[hr]
From time to time, photographs or videos may be taken during sessions for educational or promotional purposes.
Consent preferences are managed through enrolment forms. If you wish to update consent, please contact ARCSA in writing.
[hr]
ARCSA reserves the right to:
- Make reasonable changes to programs, schedules, or instructors
- Update these Terms and Conditions as required
Updated Terms and Conditions will be published on the ARCSA website and apply prospectively.
[hr]
For questions regarding enrolments, payments, credits, or these Terms and Conditions, please contact ARCSA directly.
