About Achieve Education
THE ACHIEVE DIFFERENCE
Dr Tamara Jones-Hood is the only director in the Riverina with a PhD in Education and has over 25 years experience in teaching in the primary, secondary and tertiary contexts and in academic research (Australian and international). Tamara began to tutor students in 1994 as an HSC High Achiever and Arts/Law undergraduate and found she enjoyed teaching so much she changed degrees to focus on Education. This passion and extensive teaching experience allows her to comprehensively guide her staff as they provide learning support for our many students. All of our tutors are tertiary qualified teachers currently working in government and non-government schools who have thorough reference and background checks before joining the ACHIEVE team.
OUR LEARNING PHILOSOPHY
ACHIEVE takes an innovative and individualised approach to the support of our students’ learning. We develop a program and curriculum for each student and create individualised learning resources - they do not have to fit in with a predesigned (and often unsuitable) curriculum. All team members at ACHIEVE are focused on providing the highest quality tuition as we use a student-centred learning philosophy which fosters the overall intellectual and emotional growth of each individual.
We have been trusted to tutor students in the Riverina, Canberra, Sydney, Wollongong, Goulburn, Gold Coast, Brisbane, Melbourne and across NSW for over 25 years and have a well-established reputation for high quality, personalised tuition that addresses the individual needs of each student. The tertiary qualified teachers at Achieve take an innovative, nurturing and individual approach to the development of our students’ learning. All team members at Achieve are focused on providing the highest quality tuition as we use a student-centred learning philosophy which fosters the overall intellectual and emotional growth of each individual.
The qualified educators at Achieve are all specialists in the subjects they teach (not university undergraduates but actual teachers and specialists in their fields), have current Working with Children clearance and have had thorough background and reference checks prior to joining the Achieve team. Working under the guidance of Dr Tamara Jones-Hood, the teachers are able to use high quality teaching and learning strategies that are differentiated to meet each student's individual needs.

Terms & Conditions
Payment of invoices for tuition will be the legal responsibility ofthe parent/guardianwho enrolls and registers the child. We are unable to invoice anyone else other than the parent/guardian who completes the student's enrolment and registration. If you are wanting another person to be responsible for the student's fees, this person will need to contact the Achieve administration team directly to arrange payment.
Re-enrolment for future terms will be dependent on the complete payment of the current terms invoice unless otherwise arranged with Achieve management. We are unable to extend credit across a term nor carry a student's missed sessions beyond the current term.
Students enrolled with Achieve are expected to attend all allocated sessions during the term. If your child is sick or has an unavoidable absence, notification of this absence is important so we can organise staffing and sessions accordingly. We are happy to offer make-up sessions for any missed sessions. These will be subject to availability to ensure we maintain our low teacher-student ratios. Your child is enrolled for the entire term therefore, all sessions will be invoiced and we will do our best to ensure all students are able to catch up any missed sessions.
