Young Guns Skate School offers fun, safe and supportive after-school skateboarding lessons delivered by experienced professional skateboarders.

Building confidence, balance, coordination and perseverance.
Learn the fundamentals of skateboarding or take your skills to the next level.
Encouraging positive behaviour, resilience and friendships.

All skill levels are welcome, from complete beginners to confident skaters. Children from all schools are welcome to join us too!

No full-term commitment is required. Skaters may join at any point during the term and for any number of classes, subject to availability.

Children can arrive anytime from 3:00 pm and will be supervised until class begins at 3:30 pm.

Spare skateboards and helmets available.

Tech Deck prizes to be WON at every class!

PRICING

$21 per class – Regular enrolment

Best value for weekly skaters.

$23 per class – Casual attendance

Perfect for one-off, trial sessions or occasional bookings (subject to availability).

Sibling discounts apply automatically at check out.

WEATHER & CANCELLATIONS

Skateboarding is a weather-dependent activity. If weather conditions are unsafe (eg in heavy rain conditions), classes may be cancelled.

Cancellation notifications will be sent by text message and email between 2:00pm - 2:30pm on the day. Please ensure the best contact phone number is listed on your Enrolmy account.
The full value of the class will be credited to your Enrolmy account after any weather related cancellations.

STUDENT ABSENCES

If your child cannot attend at booked class, please email or text us before 1:00 pm on the day of the booked class and your class will be credited.

Credit can be used towards any future Young Guns Skate School programmes and do not expire. An option to use credit will be given before the point of payment when you next book in with us.

LOOKING TO BUY A SKATEBOARD?

Check out our online store for kid-friendly skateboards. Alternatively head to your local skate shop.

Please avoid buying from non skate-specific stores as poor quality skateboards can impact progress and the enjoyment of learning to skateboard.

Students from Waterview School will be met by the instructor at 3pm at Waterview School. Students will then be walked to the basketball court next Waterview Skatepark. Students from other schools can meet us there before we start at 3:30pm.

If your child cannot attend a booked class, please email info@younggunsskateschool.co.nz before 1:00 pm on the day. Classes will be credited if notice is given by this time.

1. Acknowledgement of Risk. Skateboarding is fun, exciting, and yes - it can be a little risky too. By enrolling your child, you accept these risks and give permission for your child to participate in Young Guns Skate School activities. Young Guns Skate School is not responsible for any loss, property damage, or personal injury sustained during classes or activities.

2. Parental Responsibility. Parents or guardians are responsible for ensuring their child arrives and departs safely. Young Guns Skate School staff supervise children only during scheduled class times, including the setup period from 3:00 pm for after-school classes, and are not responsible for children outside of these times. Parents must provide the best contact phone number when booking so we can reach them for urgent updates or cancellations.

3. Attendance & Cancellations

Credits may be issued for weather cancellations or other approved circumstances. Notice of non attendance must be given before the timeframes listed below in order to be credited:

After-school classes: full charges apply if notice of non attendance is not given before 1:00 pm on the day.
Lunchtime Skate Clubs: If your child is unable to attend multiple classes or wishes to discontinue classes during the term, the parent or caregiver must notify Young Guns Skate School in order to be credited.
School holiday classes: full charges apply if notice of non attendance is not given before 2 hours of the start time.
Skatepark Tours: full charges apply if notice of non attendance is not given before 8:00 pm the day prior.

4. Weather & Unforeseen Events. Classes may be cancelled due to unsuitable weather or unforeseen events. Credited classes can be used for future Young Guns programmes.

5. Email & Marketing. By booking, you are subscribed to our email database for updates about future classes and events. An unsubscribe option is always available. Personal information is kept private and not shared externally.

6. Photography & Media. Photos or videos may be taken during classes. By enrolling, you consent to Young Guns Skate School using these for marketing and promotional purposes unless you notify us otherwise.

7. Behaviour & Conduct. Children are expected to behave respectfully. Young Guns Skate School reserves the right to remove any child whose behaviour endangers themselves or others.
