Learn to skateboard or further your skills with pro skaters from the Young Guns Skate School. All abilities are welcome, including first time skaters and those who can skate like a pro already. All skaters will learn how to skate safely and responsibly while learning cool new tricks along the way! The main benefits of our classes are confidence and self esteem building, learning how to persevere and improved balance and coordination. On top of that, children learn how to skate!
- Exclusive to Waimauku School students only.
- If you miss out on a space in this class, please sign up to the waitlist and we may set up another class on Thursdays.
- Students can bring their own skateboards and helmets along. Otherwise we have lots of spare skateboards and helmets that can be used if needed.
- All skill levels are welcome to join us from beginners and up.
- The term fee covers a minimum of 6 classes and otherwise the whole term from the 2nd week of term. This allows for a cancellation or two if the weather is really bad on the day of some classes. Classes will not run on half school days or public holidays.
If you are looking to purchase a skateboard, feel free to contact us for advice, or purchase a Young Guns Skate School skateboard. Please avoid buying skateboards from non skate shops. Feel free to email us if you would like some advice on buying the right skateboard.
Start and Finish Times
The Waimauku School Skate Club runs every Friday lunchtime on the front courts at Waimauku School. The first class of Term 3 is on Friday 2nd August.
