Devonport - Adults Tuesday Open Sewing Class
 
Bring your own sewing projects and get expert guidance whenever you need it. Work at your own pace while developing your skills, solving tricky problems and making the things you actually want to sew.
 
Class details
 
For sewists who are confident and independent on a sewing machine and want to spend the term working on their own projects with guidance from an experienced tutor.
 
Bring along a project you've been wanting to make, whether it's a garment, home sewing project or something completely your own. Your tutor will help you work through the skills and techniques you need, answer questions along the way and provide guidance on patterns, construction and problem-solving.
 
This is a flexible class where you can work at your own pace while having expert help available whenever you need it.
 
You should be comfortable and confident using a sewing machine independently to join this class.

Classes are held in the Rimu Room. Head in the main front doors, to the left and up the stairs.
 
Term dates
 
Classes run for eight weeks, starting Tuesday 20 October.
 
What's included & what to bring
 
Students bring in their own projects to work on in this class. If you're unsure what you'd like to make, your tutor can help you find a suitable project during class.
 
All machine use is included. If you'd prefer to bring your own machine, you are welcome to.

There is a carpark next to the community house that you are welcome to use. As well as lots of 2-hour street parking available across the road.

We’re located upstairs at the Devonport Community House. Go in the main entrance, head up the stairs to the left and you’ll find us in the Rimu Room.
