Devonport - Adults Tuesday Beginner Sewing Class
Learn to sew with confidence, from your very first stitch to making your own garment. This relaxed, hands-on class will give you the skills and confidence to start sewing independently.
Class details
Whether you've never used a sewing machine before or just want to start again from scratch, this class will give you the skills and confidence to get sewing.
We'll start with the basics, learning how to confidently use a sewing machine, understand simple sewing patterns and put together your first projects. We'll begin with smaller projects, including a pin cushion and tote bag, before moving on to an individual garment project.
For your garment project, we'll provide six great options to choose from, with guidance from your tutor every step of the way. By the end of the term, you'll have the skills and confidence to continue sewing on your own.
No previous sewing experience is needed to join this class.
