Week 1

Monday 12th January: Pop Art Printmaking

Learn printmaking & create bold leaf, animal, or abstract prints while experimenting with colours that make your artwork pop! What vibrant prints will you bring to life?

Tuesday 13th January: Felting Fun

Unleash your creativity by piecing colourful felt & a variety of fun art materials together. What wild & wonderful creature will you create?

Wednesday 14th January: Clay Treasure Boxes

Learn basic clay hand building skills like coiling, scratch & attach, & the pinch pot method. Turn a blob of clay into a multi-purpose box to store your special treasures!

Thursday 15th January: Cardboard Construction

Build a robot, a city or a castle for your favourite pet using our mountain of cardboard. If you can imagine it, you can create it! What story will unfold within your cardboard?

Friday 16th January: Under The Sea Pot Planters

Craft ocean inspired pot planters adorned with sea creatures & plant your chosen seeds to take home. What wonderful aquatic creature will you bring to life?

Week 2

Monday 19th January: WELLINGTON ANNIVERSARY DAY

It’s Wellington Anniversary, so we won’t have any classes running today unfortunately. Feel free to check out the other classes however!

Tuesday 20th January: Neon Painting

Create bold and colourful Pop Art neon paintings. Be inspired by existing designs or let your imagination run wild! Some of your colours will glow under UV light!

Wednesday 21st January: Clay Monsters

Have you always wanted to make a ceramic figurine of your very own character?

Come along to sculpt them out of clay & paint them to look exactly how you imagine!

Thursday 22nd January: Fantastical Houses

Your dream house just got magical! Use your imagination to design a whimsical house & craft a fun, fantastical home with all sorts of art supplies. What will you create?

Friday 23rd January: K-Wow!

Welcome to our Kids World of Wearable Arts. Let your inner designer come out & slay as you prepare to hit the catwalk! What moving, grooving work of wearable art will you make?

TLC Kids Art Programme: Terms & Conditions

All families must complete a registration form, enrolment agreement and safety form via Enrolmy before the child can participate in our Kids Art Holiday Programme, or our term time after school and homeschool art classes. It is the parent’s/caregiver’s responsibility to inform TLC of the child’s medical history and any other information necessary to provide proper care for your child. Please note that by registering your child with our Kids Art Programmes, you are also consenting to your child being transported, if needed, in an emergency.

Please note that your booking is confirmed only once payment has been made.

WINZ OSCAR subsidies (available for holiday programme only)

Our Kids Art Holiday Programme is OSCAR approved, meaning that there are WINZ subsidies available if you need help meeting costs. Please visit https://www.workandincome.govt.nz/products/a-z-benefits/oscar-subsidy.html for more information. Please note that OSCAR subsidy forms will need to be sent to us prior to the holiday programme starting, to ensure they can be processed.

Free Trials (available for after school and homeschool classes only)

You can book a free trial class for our term time after school and home school classes. Please note that booking a free trial does not guarantee a spot in the class. If you are certain you want to attend for the term, please book and pay for your child before the class fills up.

Belongings

TLC takes no responsibility for any loss or damage to children’s property while in our Kids Art Programmes.

Cancellation Policy

All classes need a minimum number to go ahead. Please note: Parents/Caregivers must give 24 hours notice if their child will not be attending booked sessions. Failure to do this will mean the full fee for days booked will still be charged. If a class is cancelled, we will let you know as soon as possible prior to the scheduled start date. If this happens, you may transfer to another available class, or you will be offered a credit, or a refund.

Privacy and Information Sharing

The information collected within this enrolment form is for the purposes of establishing and maintaining appropriate records required for The Learning Connexion (TLC) to provide our Kids Art Programmes. Information collected will be managed in accordance with the Privacy Act 2020, the Childrens Act 2014, The Children, Young Persons and their Families act 1989, and other relevant legislation. Information collected by us may be accessed by TLC staff, the Ministry of Social Development, relevant Government departments and other Audit organisations such as Te Kahui Kahu Social Services Accreditation. All personal information provided is kept confidential and is only accessible to our Kids Art Programme staff. In the event that information is requested by an external party for audit purposes (e.g. in relation to OSCAR or health and safety requirements), all identifying information is redacted. You may view your child’s and family’s information at any time by accessing your account via your Enrolmy Parent Portal and you can directly correct or update any information on your account.
