Explore the fascinating technique of cuttlefish casting in our hands-on workshop. Learn how to carve into the soft shell of a cuttlefish and pour molten silver to create unique, decorative pieces. This process offers instant casting results that are both fun and rewarding.
Perfect for jewellery enthusiasts of all levels, this class will teach you essential skills and let you take home your own beautiful creations.
You’ll leave with up to three personalised silver castings, including at least one pendant or ring, and the knowledge and confidence to continue creating unique jewellery pieces on your own.

Lisa Sinclair is a passionate artist with a diverse background in science and creativity. Holding a Diploma in Creativity and a certificate in Adult Teaching, Lisa specialises in silversmithing and stained glass art. Her work, often inspired by wildlife, has been exhibited throughout the Wellington region and is featured in private collections across Australasia.

- Cuttlefish shells and silver will be available for purchase. Get your cuttlefish shells for just $4 each and silver casting granules at $4 per gram. Create a unique ring or pendant for around $40, with each piece weighing about 10 grams. For earrings, we recommend using 4 grams per piece.
