Let's GO Create!

In this exciting new 2 day workshop from The GO Club young LEGO fans will explore and build, design and create! Kids will learn real world concepts from industrial design; LEGO tips and tricks; plus express themselves in a completely new, STEAM way!

Free 2019 LEGO Minifig from series 2019!* Each Let's GO Create attendee will be given a brand new blind bagged figure - what will it be!? Love it or hate it, that's their base to customise and create the fig of their dreams!

Kids can work solo or as a team to create a new, completely customised LEGO person and accessories they can keep*! Using 3 distinct techniques we'll design and create totally custom figs! Using our brand new mini CNC router, we'll even fashion fabric items for them like capes and skirts! I'll teach kids hot tips and tricks on how best to Paint figs; Print for figs and Premo for accessories and custom bricks!

The ultimate STEAM experience. We'll show kids how using tech can expand their creativity, with a computer controlled cutting machine for super-professional quality customs! Kids will design on our tablets, print here at The Lab and have the CNC machine cut custom decals and fabrics exactly, for the best LEGO customs in town!

Ever wondered how LEGO is made? We'll explore how ABS becomes LEGO, then have a go at making our own creations from recycled HDPE plastic, with moulds we create ourselves!^

Break out space
We have an amazing space at the Lab, with a quiet corner for chill out time and break times on our playground and green space.

Times
We run from 9am - 3pm, with drop off available from 8:30am. Programming won't begin until 9am - kids who arrive before then are welcome to use our quiet corner; help set up; play on the playground or work independently.

50/50 split
We're aiming for a 50% female turn out for this workshop, so priority places will be given to girls from The GO Club and their friends. Limited to just 12 spaces. Please respect our feminist kaupapa and understand your son may be wait-listed - if demand is high we can bring on extra staff and open up more places! We have a high adult-child ratio for this workshop.

As we finalise details more info may be released about the workshop - stay tuned!

Note The GO Club, The B.O. Club and STEM Lab are in no way associated or endorsed by The LEGO Group LTD or LEGO Master's Australia. TLG has full copyright over the name LEGO and all logos, images etc.
* One Series 19 Minifig or Minidoll and 50-100g Premo provided per attendee. The session price reflects this as both LEGO and Premo plus our specialist paints and printing materials come at a premium cost. We recommend bringing extra old minifigs and minidolls from home to explore a wider variety of designs and experimentation. We'll email the day before to remind you :)
^ We use recycled milk bottle tops which are all HDPE. We melt them outside OR in a well ventilated space and kids are all provided with the correct safety gear. HDPE doesn't off gas over 180* and we never exceed it's melting temp of 130/140 degrees. You can read our extensive H&S Policy at any time.
