Are you hoping to attend drama school or become a professional actor? By exploring ways to approach text and scripts, accent training and the acting techniques of Laban, Le Jeu and Michael Chekov, you’ll learn tools to advance your acting career...

The programme will use classical texts such as Shakespeare to explore different acting techniques such as: Laban, which will teach you new ways to move; Le Jue, to discover the fun of being an actor; and the Michael Chekov technique, which looks at the connections between the body/physical expressions and emotions/psychological states.

Experienced actors Kalyani Nagarajan and Justin Rogers will show you how to approach texts with confidence.

You’ll learn how to develop realistic, three-dimensional characters that audiences can relate to.

The programme also includes accent training, movement techniques, and lessons in comedy, clowning and stagecraft.

This fresh and contemporary approach to performing will explore what’s involved in drama school auditions and will offer tips for breaking into the professional world of acting.
