Run by TAPAC - The Auckland Performing Arts Centre

Contemporary dance is an accessible dance form that encourages both technique and creativity. Tutors bring their own personal movement vocabularies and choreographic styles into the studio, whilst teaching well respected internationally influenced techniques with a special New Zealand flavour. Floor work, exercises and combinations are built on each week, enabling students to explore their own movement style and creativity. Enjoy the exhilaration that comes from dancing through space with ease and confidence.

Teaching Artist: Rose Philpott
Rose Philpott has been working as a freelance dancer, choreographer and teacher for the past five years. Rose graduated from Unitec with a BPSA, majoring in Contemporary Dance in 2012 and has since performed for Sarah Foster-Sproull and Footnote NZ Dance, Okareka Dance Company, World Of Wearable Art, Claire O'Neil, Kerryn McMurdo, Jessie McCall, Lucy Marinkovich and Anita Hunziker. Rose is also a founding member of Foster Group and is a recipient of the Eileen May Norris Dance Scholarship. She brings her in-depth knowledge of dance technique and performance along with imagination and a sense of play to her young students.
