Run by TAPAC - The Auckland Performing Arts Centre

Ballet aims to build each child’s love of dance, promoting technical dance skills in a fun environment. A creative approach to the traditional form, the classes nurture self-esteem as well as physical capability, imagination and team work. Children will also learn the valuable skills of musicality, artistry and focus.

Teaching Artist: Rose Philpott
Rose Philpott has been working as a freelance dancer, choreographer and teacher for the past five years. Rose graduated from Unitec with a BPSA, majoring in Contemporary Dance in 2012 and has since performed for Sarah Foster-Sproull and Footnote NZ Dance, Okareka Dance Company, World Of Wearable Art, Claire O'Neil, Kerryn McMurdo, Jessie McCall, Lucy Marinkovich and Anita Hunziker. Rose is also a founding member of Foster Group and is a recipient of the Eileen May Norris Dance Scholarship. She brings her in-depth knowledge of dance technique and performance along with imagination and a sense of play to her young students.
