$200.00 for 10 sessions | 2 places remaining

Run by TAPAC - The Auckland Performing Arts Centre

Contemporary dance is an accessible dance form that encourages both technique and creativity. Tutors bring their own personal movement vocabularies and choreographic styles into the studio, whilst teaching well respected internationally influenced techniques with a special New Zealand flavour. Floor work, exercises and combinations are built on each week, enabling students to explore their own movement style and creativity. Enjoy the exhilaration that comes from dancing through space with ease and confidence

This class is best suited to students with some prior experience of contemporary dance.

Develop your creative and personal potential through choreography and performance.

Working with choreographic tasks the group will explore the creation of their own personal movement sequences. These sequences will be developed into a group choreography which will be performed at the end of the term.

Click ENROL NOW to enrol in Thursday contemporary class ONLY.

If you would like to enrol in BOTH the Thursday contemporary class AND the optional performance class (which continues straight after at 8.30pm), please click ENROL NOW for Contemporary 2 + Performance.
