Debating: Voices of Change
StarTime’s Debating program builds more than confident speakers — it develops clear thinkers and respectful communicators for the world our children are growing up in.
In an age of AI, digital propaganda, and constant information overload, young people need the skills to question ideas, evaluate evidence, and communicate with clarity and integrity.
Our program teaches students how to:
- Form persuasive arguments based on facts, logic, and research
- Identify misinformation and evaluate the reliability of sources
- Debate respectfully, recognising that disagreement can be productive
- Think on their feet, respond in real time, and refine ideas under pressure
- Express themselves with confidence, clarity, and creativity
While learning is powerful, we keep the experience fun, energetic, and collaborative. Each session blends teamwork challenges, fast-paced debate games, and supportive coaching that helps students strengthen their voice — and enjoy the process.
By developing these skills early, we’re helping shape the next generation of creative leaders who can communicate thoughtfully, solve problems collaboratively, and thrive in a tech-driven world.
