Our Troupe for teenage performance enthusiasts is held at the Kevin Berry Performing Arts Centre at Western Port Secondary College, and is open to students from all schools.
This class is a favourite time of the week for many of our students. Drama games, drama skills (voice, facial expressions, movement), performing from short scripts and learning how to present in front of a live audience combine to ensure a diverse and exciting curriculum.
Our regular excursions are also a major highlight and this term, our students are invited to attend the dress rehearsal of Vic Opera's Eucalyptus on Monday 14th October from 11:30 - 5pm (note this is a school day).
A separate link will be shared at a later date to confirm attendance at this event.
We will also offer students a chance to attend the musical 'Tina' later in the term.
This class will expose participants to a variety of performance styles and experiences, ensuring they are well-versed in performance terminology and concepts, enabling students to grow their performance tool kits from term to term. Participants will gain an array of life skills, which will deepen confidence when speaking to a crowd or performing on stage. This will be achieved through dynamic drama games, role play, improvisation, scene work, dramatic ensembles and more.
Ideal for all keen participants, regardless of performance experience, this valuable course encourages students to explore their individual performance potential while gaining confidence and broadening social interaction. Curriculum content will be partially driven by students' interests.
Our Troupe class is taught by the incredible
