---- VERY IMPORTANT THINGS TO KNOW WHEN BOOKING!! ----
Please note that we are Invoicing in Advance for term bookings (similiar to Holiday Programmes.)
The online booking system is used to determine the staffing ratios for the programme each day. It is important that any additional bookings or cancellations are made with plenty of notice to maintain safe staff ratios.
Casual Booking - A casual booking is when you only require care on irregular days, or for a short period. A casual booking should be made at least 24 hours prior to the day that care is required. Bookings are CAPPED due to staff ratio requirements, so we recommend regular booking for guaranteed placement. However, in an emergency situation we may accept bookings up until 12 noon on the day required, provided there is a slot available. There is NO guarantee of placement for these bookings.
Fee Structure
Combo Booking rates are discounted for combined full week morning and afternoon sessions up to end of the term. If changes are made, fees will be adjusted retrospectively (from the start of the booking) to reflect regular full week or part week rates.
For Regular Full Week and Part Week Bookings, you will be charged for all bookings including absences/sickness. PLACEMENT IS GUARANTEED. If changes are made, fees will be adjusted to reflect part week or casual rates.
NOTE: With Recurring or Regular Booking, you pay for the booking - NOT the attendance.
For Casual Bookings, you will only pay for the sessions booked. Cancellation of booking will only be accepted if made
- before 12 noon for After School Care (ASC) - or
- before 5 PM for next-day Before School Care (BSC)
via TXT to 021-050-7893 or email to becca@skids.co.nz . Payment is due upon issuance of the invoice.
Payment Terms and Conditions
Fees are our only source of income. To operate efficiently, we require that our fees be kept up-to-date, based on your booking type.
1. For those that wish to retain a regular booking, payment is required 2 weeks in advance. If you have difficulty paying the full amount of the term invoice in advance, periodic regular payments must be set-up by automatic payments directly to the provider bank account. Please contact the proprietor - Becca de la Vega to discuss/arrange this.
- For private payees, please set up an automatic payment every Friday (as payment for the following week), starting on the Friday before the first week of attendance. You must be fully paid by the Friday before the final week of the term.
- For WINZ families, please set up an automatic payment for the agreed weekly top-up amount (based on your approved subsidy) every Friday as payment for the coming week, for 10 weeks starting on the Friday before the first week of attendance.
- We reserve the right to cancel future bookings if your account is in arrears for the weeks past/attended.
2. The rate charged is dependent on a ‘firm’ booking.
- When a child attends extra days, which are outside of the confirmed booking, these will be charged at the casual rate.
- The early pick-up (EPU) rate is only payable for confirmed early pick-up bookings. Being late for early pick-ups will result in being charged the next higher rate.
- We charge $1 per minute for late pickups after the published closing time.
3. Two weeks written notice must be provided if a child is to be withdrawn from the programme or there is a change required to the days of care - otherwise, a 2-week fee is payable based on the previously accepted booking.
4. NO refunds are given for absences and all public holidays are charged at the applicable rate for bookings normally required that day.
5. Interest on overdue invoices shall accrue daily from the date when payment becomes due, until the date of payment, at a rate of two and one-half percent (2.5%) per calendar month (and at sKids sole discretion such interest shall compound monthly at such a rate) after as well as before any judgment.
6. In the event that your payment is dishonoured for any reason then you shall be liable for any dishonour fees incurred by sKids.
7. If you default in payment of any invoice when due, you shall indemnify sKids from and against all costs and disbursements incurred by sKids in pursuing the debt including legal costs on a solicitor and own client basis and sKids collection agency costs.
