Rise then Shine (Before School): We set the tone for a great day with a healthy breakfast and calming activities like meditation, yoga, and arts — ensuring children step into school ready to learn.

Important Information

Please read if you are in receipt of the NCS Subsidy:

NCS is provided on REGULAR bookings only.

1. The NCS is designed as a contract between you and the Government. Sherpa Kids only have visibility of NCS awards when provided by you.
2. It is your responsibility to provide Sherpa Kids with the correct CHICK data in order for your claim to be processed. Failure to provide correct data will delay the process of your NCS claim.
3. NCS claims cannot be backdated so please provide at least 1 week for us to process your claim.
4. It is your responsibility to renew your NCS awards and advise us. You will receive 2 reminders from the Hive at 30 days and 10 days out from the end award date.
5. The NCS subsidy is NOT included in the value of your booking below and will only be applied to your invoices when you have confirmed the claim on the NCS Portal which is due once we have processed the claim.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

I consent for my child to attend Sherpa Kids School Aged Childcare. I understand that the service has policies and procedures (which are available for reference at the service), and that there are expectations and obligations relating both to the service and to myself and my child, and I agree to abide in accordance with the Parent Handbook.

I consent for photos of my child/ren (headshots) to be taken for the purpose of identification and recognition by staff.

My child will be provided with a healthy and nutritious snack and drink (water) by Sherpa Kids unless otherwise requested. I may be asked to provide additional foods during Holiday Programmes, early closure days or excursions.

Once my child arrives at the service, they will be in the care of Sherpa Kids until collected and signed out by an authorised person. I will update my parent profile should there be additions or changes to the people I authorise to collect my child/ren.

I will notify the service before the start of the session if I am collecting my child from school on a day that he/she is booked to attend the service. I understand that I will be charged for the booked session on that day, unless it is part of my change of booking policy that I have correctly exercised.

I understand that an upfront payment on account of 2 week bookings will be required as a prepayment which will then be applied against your invoices at the end of the Academic year or when bookings are cancelled which ever is the earliest.

I understand that invoices are released weekly and that I can view them on my parent profile. I confirm that I will pay weekly for all booked sessions whether my child attends or not (eg due to illness or holidays)

I understand that 4  weeks’ written notice  by email to support@sherpakids.ie is required for cancellation of bookings.

I understand that swapping or reducing hours/days to bookings can be made online between the months of September to end of April. Changes will take effect 4 weeks after change actioned in Enrolmy. 3 changes permitted in the academic year.

I understand that casual bookings can be made on Enrolmy at anytime from the start of the academic year, subject to availability. Regular increased changes are permitted at anytime.
I understand and adhere to the school settling in policy and only offer early collection times for the first weeks if agreed with the school - otherwise services will be open from the regular school finish times.

I understand that all school closure days outside the control of Sherpa Kids and/or also if a risk of safety to staff/children will be charged as normal. Bank Holidays, school midterms and holiday periods (Christmas, Easter and Summer) are not charged. Camps may run at these times and can be booked into separately.

In order to avail of my awarded NCS subsidy (my childcare discount) in the first week of attendance, I understand I must complete the relevant CHICK data on Enrolmy no less than 1 week before my child commences Sherpa Kids.

I understand it is my responsibility to renew my CHICK Code when it expires should I wish to continue to avail of the government subsidy and that my failure to do so will result in being liable to pay full fees.

I understand that if the CHICK Code details change or are renewed it is my responsibility to communicate them with Sherpa Kids and that my failure to do so will result in being liable to pay full fees.

I understand that it is my responsibility to apply my child/ren NCS subsidised hours on the NCS Portal. NCS will not be applied to my invoices unless I confirm the hours claimed on the NCS Portal.

It is my responsibility to keep the service Co-Ordinator informed (in writing, by email) of any alterations to the information on my parent profile regarding my child (e.g. contact details, authorised collection persons, medical conditions, diagnoses etc..).

The service closes at 6pm during term time and 5:30pm during Holiday Programmes. If, due to unforeseen circumstances, I am going to be late, I will contact the service Co-Ordinator as soon as possible by phone. I understand that I may be liable for a late collection fee

If I do not collect my child by 6pm during term time or 5:30pm during holiday programmes I will pay a late charge to cover the costs of the staff who are legally required to supervise my child. Please see parent handbook.

Whilst the service tries to ensure the safety and security of items, I understand that it cannot be held responsible for loss or damage to my child’s property whilst at the Service.

I have read the parents handbook and completed the safety form for my child to attend the service.

If there are any accidents or incidents at the service involving my child, I will be informed and may be required to read and sign an incident report form.

If my child has an accident at the service, they will be treated by a qualified first aider and I will be informed as soon as possible.

I understand that aggressive, undermining, threatening and/or abusive behaviour towards Sherpa Kids staff will not be tolerated. These behaviours may result in a request to remove my child from our services.
