Todays is all about using your imagination to create one quality project using a box. Will it be a robot, an aquarium, funky bag, keep sake box, pop up surprise, pizza oven, rocket, pet house?? the options are endless. We have fabric, pipe cleaners, coloured paper, string, foil, glue, and some interesting left over craft supplies to use in the decoration of the boxes too. Our afternoon activity will be decorating either biscuits or cupcakes with icing and variety of sprinkles.
There will also be lots of free play time inside and outside using our toys, games and sports equipment.
Today we will be making a 3D sea creature mounted on a background. Using paper plates you can create a shark, a stingray, turtle, angler fish or octopus. In the afternoon while children are finishing their art work they will be called in to decorate biscuits or cupcakes. There will also be our usual toys, games and sports equipment to play with during free play time.
Today we will be making a 3D lizard and a 'pop up' jumping frog. Plus either decorating cupcakes or biscuits or making pikelets in the afternoon. There will also be lots of free play time inside and outside using our toys, games and sports equipment.
Todays theme is all about the stars and sky. With Matariki bring tomorrow we thought it would be nice to do some art work inspired by Matariki. In the morning we will be creating letter art using our initalsand making a star keyring. In the afternoon we will have a simple activity in the kitchen (either decorating biscuits/cupcakes or a simple recipe making edible stars but this is still tbc).
-------------------------------------------
Drop off and collect students via the Art Room Entrance (by the Netball playground round the side of school) or enter through the main school doors by reception. Follow the corridor straight down towards the art room.
All breaks will be outside if the weather is acceptable so please dress according to Wellingtons changeable weather. Layers are good. Be prepared for wind, rain and maybe even sun!
No food will be provided (except what the students bake on cooking days - which is shared out) so please send your child with a full lunch box as students get very hungry on these busy days.
