Voice/Singing with Frankie Leota Term 2 2024 (Mondays)

 

Te Whanganui-a-Tara based artist Frankie Leota has featured in productions throughout the region over the past two decades, and is thrilled to be returning to the St.James stage for Wellington’s premiere season of WICKED.

 

Recent performance highlights include G&T Productions/Capital Theatre Trust’s Les Miserables, Alicat Productions A Natural Woman at Circa, and Poets Before Me at the national literary Karukatea Festival 2022. In 2021 Leota played Lucy Barker/The Beggar Woman in Sweeney Todd and the formidable Kate Sheppard in Wellington's 2021 season of That Bloody Woman. Her first post-Lockdown vocal workout was in WITCH’s Underscore_, followed by Ladies In Black. Immersive theatre was the flavour in Tawhiri Productions 2019 Second Unit.

 

When completing her Bachelor of Performing Arts in 2018 she played Alice in The Addams Family followed by EighTEEN in Te Auaha BOW Season & the 2019 Measina Festival. Prior to that Amici Production’s 2015 season of Evita. Other credits performed at the glorious St James Theatre include Mamma Mia, My Fair Lady, Beauty & The Beast and The Sound of Music.
