We will use comprehensive drama games to learn to work with our instinct and intuition.
We will learn about accents, work on audition acting technique, review screen work and study the acting tips of top drama coaches.
We will learn about the difference between stage and screen acting and get the opportunity to put these both into practice.
Speech and voice techniques will be part of our course, as will fun, confidence-building, imagination and expression!
Georgia Kellett (she/her) is a Pōneke-based theatre practitioner working among a wide range of projects from small independent works to international festivals. She is best known for her work with Knot Theatre as the growing company's creator, writer, and producer. Georgia uses her knowledge of acting and dance styles to choreograph and perform physical theatre works. Through her work, she has found a passion for teaching. From dance classes with ages 3 - 65+ to full-time theatre students here in Pōneke, Georgia has developed a keen eye for finding what it is that a student might need to grow. She strives to bring forward dynamic classes that integrate all elements of theatre, teaching with the artistic flare of an experienced performer.
