Brighid Jamieson

Brighid has been making art for as long as she can remember (starting with living room walls and crayons). Today, she is a mixed-media artist working with charcoal, collage, paint, and clay. Her background as a registered psychologist and community development worker deeply informs her practice, inspiring whimsical, imaginative work that explores connection, belonging, and how we relate to the world.
A passionate advocate for community arts, Brighid co-founded The Creative Itch Artists Collective and the Island Bay Arts Group. Her work has been featured in over 20 galleries and art trails, and can be found in selected retail stores across New Zealand.

Creative Workshops & Classes Brighid wholeheartedly believes that everyone is creative. Whether you are picking up a paintbrush for the first time or are a seasoned professional, her studio is a pressure-free, welcoming space to experiment, learn new techniques, and make discoveries. With all materials provided, her classes blend practical demonstrations with individual support, helping you build confidence and uncover your unique artistic voice.
