Her works have a focus on portrait, figure and object; depicting modern women and how it it feels to be one, in all it's awe and woe. The works teeter on life-like to remain un-photoshopped, un-airbrushed depictions of the women we know. Miki's work has been recognized with multiple awards including the Waitakere Trusts Art Awards (First Prize 2022, 2024, Second Prize 2023), Franklins Arts Festival (First Prize 2022) and a shortlist for the Molly Morpeth Canaday Awards.
