Whether or not you joined our first session, you're warmly invited to continue (or begin!) your journey into mindful, creative mending.
In this second Decorative Repair workshop, we’ll dive deeper into the art of hand mending and storytelling through fabric. Bring a piece you’d love to transform—maybe something you started earlier in the month, or a new item ready for repair and reinvention.
You’re encouraged to think ahead, gather your ideas, and collect more fabric scraps, threads, beads, buttons, and other small treasures. To help inspire and extend your creativity, Barbara will bring along her own collection of beads and buttons to share and spark fresh ideas.
Look more closely at detail and texture
Refine your ideas with thoughtful composition
Discover hidden gems in your everyday materials
Tell your own story through fabric and thread
This workshop is all about slowing down, seeing more, and letting your textile work reflect your personality and creativity.
A small koha is welcome if you'd like to purchase extra resources from Barbara’s stash for future projects.
A textile item you'd like to work on
Any extra materials you’d like to incorporate (buttons, beads, threads, scraps)
Let’s give beautiful old fabrics a new chapter—one stitch at a time.
