The annual pilgrimage to Hamilton Lake (Lake Rotoroa) for the first regatta of the summer season (The Ice Breaker).

This is one for the whole family and all age groups – always a good fun day.

The Scouts and Venturers will be racing (sailing, rowing, and canoeing). For our newer Scouts this is a great relaxed regatta to find out what this aspect of Sea Scouting is all about – don’t worry if you don’t think you have much boating experience, it is a great day to give it a go.

This has always been a great family day out, rain or shine.

Enrolments close on Friday 28 August. This is due to the logistics of towing boats and transporting people and gear.

NB: there may be a last minute change of venue to Lake Ngaroto as there may be some water quality issues with Lake Rotoroa. Any change will be advised in advance.
