Description:

This activity will take place following the coast along the southern end of the Waitakere Ranges beinging at the Karamatura Valley carpark and finishing at the carpark at the end of Te Ahuahu road near Piha. Scouts will need a reasonable level of fitness and appropriate tramping gear as they will be walking with all their gear for 2.5 days, camping at Whatipu and the Pararaha valleys. Boasting a variety of spectacular views alongisde moments of challenge throughout the trip, this walk is definity worthy of a chief scout tramp.

 

Cost:

$30 needs to be paid by midnight Friday 6th June so that campsite bookings can be made in time for Matariki weekend. This amount also covers a contribution toward the camping fees for the two 2 supervising [adult] leaders as well as individual themselves. There are no exensions to this timeframe, as it will be a group booking for each campsite. Any left over money will be kept in scouts individual funds to off-set future trips and activities.
