Welcome to our Julyl Holiday Programme offering fun and exciting activities in a safe and welcoming space to school students aged 5-14.
 
We will be open:
 
Week 1 - Monday 6th July to Thursday 9th July 2026
Week 2 - Monday 13th July to Thursday 16th July 2026
 
In both Term 4 and Term 1 we run our Tui House sun safe programme, please make sure you child has had sunblock applied prior to coming into Tui House and a hat in their bag.
 
STAFFING STRUCTURE & RATIOS:
A minimum of two staff members will normally be on duty during the Tui House programmes. However, in circumstances where attendance numbers are low, the programme may operate with one staff member rostered on, provided that the staff member holds a current First Aid Certificate.

Tui House - Requirements for Enrolment

Basic Self-Management Skills
Follow Simple Instructions – Understand and carry out basic verbal or visual directions.
Transition Between Activities – Move from one activity to another with minimal disruption.
Understand Routine – Be familiar with and follow the schedule or structure of Tui House.
Manage Belongings – Keep track of personal items (e.g., backpack, shoes etc).

Personal Care & Hygiene
Use the Bathroom Independently – Including wiping, flushing, washing hands.
Recognise and Communicate Physical Needs – Such as hunger, thirst, or needing the toilet.
Handle Minor Self-Care Tasks – Such as tying shoes, blowing nose, putting on/taking off clothing layers and putting on sunscreen.

Communication Skills
Express Needs – Ask for help, communicate feelings, or tell an adult if something is wrong.
Understand Safety Rules – Comprehend and follow basic safety expectations (e.g., staying inside the building, not talking or trying to leave with others).
Understand and Respect Boundaries – Both personal space and emotional boundaries of peers and staff.

Social & Emotional Skills
Engage in Cooperative Play or Activities – Share, take turns, and participate in group games or crafts.
Self-Regulate Emotions – Use coping strategies for frustration, overstimulation, or disappointment (to a functional level).
Problem-Solve Minor Conflicts – Attempt basic peer conflict resolution or seek adult help appropriately.

Behavioural Expectations
Stay Within Supervised Areas – Not wander off or leave designated areas without permission.
Follow Group Rules – Even when not directly supervised (e.g., during outdoor play or snack time).
