Dear Parents and Caregivers,

We invite you to register your Year 1 - 6 child/ren to play Rugby for Leamington School for 2020.

PLEASE NOTE Year 6 players have the choice to represent Cambridge Junior Rugby in the Waikato Wide competition or play represent Leamington School Sport in the 11th Grade played on a Saturday here in Cambridge. GRADES: 6th, 8th, 9th & 11th

  • Leamington 6th Grade: Year 0-2 - Rippa Rugby
  • Leamington 8th Grade: Year 3 - First-year tacklers ONLY
  • Leamington 9th Grade: Year 4/5 - Second-year tacklers or less
  • Leamington 11th Grade: Year 5/6 - Year 6 players not wanting to play Waikato Wide

PLEASE NOTE Year 5/6 players are eligible for rep teams however Year 5's playing in 9th Grade will not be eligible for selection.

UNIFORM: Students will be supplied with a school rugby jersey. Shorts and socks will need to be purchased from the school office. You may also choose to purchase a rugby jacket and team t-shirt. Mouth-guards will be supplied.

PRACTICES: Team practice day, time and location will be decided upon by the team coach/manager and communicated once team lists have been finalised.

PLEASE NOTE we rely heavily on parents/caregivers volunteering to coach and manage our sports teams, please indicate in your registration if you are available to help in either capacity.


FEES: $37.50 per player
Fees are comprised of the following costs:
  • $7.50 - Team Costs (i.e. first aid equipment, balls for the children to play and practice with, prize giving, player of the day awards, etc.)
  • $30 - entry into the local competition paid directly to the venue.

PRIVACY: The New Zealand Rugby Union Incorporated (“NZR”) uses this form to collect personal information for the purposes of (i) the general administration of the game of rugby by NZR, Super Rugby Clubs, Provincial Unions, clubs and schools, including managing registration, managing and dealing with injury and insurance matters, rugby-related communications, statistical analysis and research; and (ii) the promotion of the game of rugby, including ticketing offers and other marketing of the game of rugby ("Purposes").

NZR will hold your personal information on a national database and will make your personal information available to the rugby organisation (ie club or school) that you are registered with, the Provincial Union your rugby organisation is affiliated to, and (if applicable) the Super Rugby Club for your region, for the Purposes. Your personal information may also be made available to our service providers and other persons as NZR considers appropriate for the Purposes. You have rights to access (and correct) such personal information as provided for in the Privacy Act 1993. To do this, contact NZR at privacyofficer@nzrugby.co.nz.

By completing this form you authorise the collection, use and disclosure of your personal information for the Purposes. Failure to complete this form (or providing incorrect information) may result in your being ineligible to play rugby in New Zealand or for insurance cover arranged by or through NZR.

Due to the nature of the sport, changes may occur to the above details prior to the commencement of the season. Should these changes affect you or your child, these will be communicated via email once you have registered your child/ren for this activity.
