Adult Coaching at Excel Tennis Academy
SUBSCRIPTION-BASED SESSION – NOT PAY & PLAY

This is a CLUB LEVEL session

Our Club Level sessions are for players with a good understanding of core technique and tactics who can play consistently, including serving and rallying.

Sessions are fun, challenging and progressive, helping you develop your technique, consistency, movement and tactical awareness. There is a strong focus on playing points, matchplay and using your skills effectively in real-game situations.

This level is suitable for players who are playing or ready to play regularly at club nights and/or are ready to play in adult league teams.

Good to know

Develop your tactics, movement and matchplay
Ideal if you're playing club nights or preparing for league tennis
No club membership required – anyone can join our coaching
Small groups and low player-to-coach ratios, giving you plenty of individual attention
Equipment provided if you don't have your own racket

Payment

Weekly coaching is paid for through a monthly subscription, spreading the cost of 37 weeks of term-time coaching across the year.

Your subscription continues on a rolling monthly basis until cancelled.

Booking your place

Your booking will initially appear on a waiting list while we check your subscription. Once everything is confirmed, we'll move you to an active place and send you a confirmation email.

How to Book Your Weekly Coaching

To attend this weekly coaching session as a regular player, you will need an active Adult Coaching Subscription.

The process is simple:

1. Book your coaching session
Complete the booking for the weekly coaching session you'd like to attend.

2. Your booking will initially go onto a waiting list
Don't worry if your booking shows as “waiting list”. This does not mean the group is full or that you have been unsuccessful. It simply allows us to check your subscription before confirming your place.

3. Set up your Adult Coaching Subscription
Set up the subscription that matches the number of weekly sessions you will attend.

4. We'll confirm your place
Once we have checked your booking and confirmed that the correct subscription is active, we'll move you from the waiting list to an active booking. You'll then receive a confirmation email confirming your place.

Discounts

Multiple-Session Discounts
If you attend more than one eligible coaching session each week, additional discounts may apply. Simply book all the sessions you would like to attend. When you set up your subscription, the applicable additional-session discount will be applied automatically.

Family Discounts
Each adult must make their own booking through their individual account. If a second adult from the same family is joining weekly coaching, please contact us before setting up their subscription so we can arrange the family discount.

The first subscription invoice will be taken at the standard rate. Once we have checked the additional family booking, the relevant direct discount will be applied to future subscription invoices.

Blue Light Card, Local Primary School Staff & YouMove Discounts
If you are eligible for a Blue Light Card, local primary school staff or YouMove discount, please complete the relevant discount application form before setting up your subscription. Once submitted you will be redirected to the discounted subscription for eligible adults

Prefer Pay & Play?

If you'd rather not commit to a monthly subscription, Pay & Play is still available on eligible adult sessions.

Simply book through the relevant Pay & Play activity instead.

Booking this activity alone does not confirm your weekly place.

Your place is only confirmed once the correct Adult Coaching Subscription is active and you have received your booking confirmation email from Excel Tennis Academy.

Terms and Conditions

MISSED/CANCELLED Lessons
- If you miss a lesson please contact us as we are happy to offer you the chance to attend one of our other groups as a 'make up' session
- If a lesson is missed due to bad weather, please speak with the coach about attending an alternative session as a make up session. We are unable to offer a refund for bad weather cancellations.
- In the event of inclement weather during a session indoor activities will be provided for the pupils and parents will be notified of the session stopping
- If the weather is bad before the start of the lesson please contact the coach to confirm if the session is still running
- If you are unable to attend a session please notify the coach before the start of the lesson
SAFEGUARDING/CHILD PROTECTION
- Please make sure all children are brought to the Tennis Court gates and wait with them until the start of the tennis lesson
- At the end of a session please make sure all children are collected from the Tennis Court gates and not allowed to walk to/through the car park
- Please inform the coach if someone else will be collecting your child after the session
- At the Academy our coaches do expect a standard of behavior to be adhered to by our pupils. We follow a disciplinary code for dealing with unruly children and will inform the parents of any behaviour and actions taken if neccessary
Coaches
- All our Coaches are:
- LTA Qualified
- Enhanced DBS Checked
- First Aid Trained
- Vetted before working with us
- Our Coaches will always be at the venue to run the sessions unless it is not safe for them to travel (such as in the event of heavy snow) they will contact you beforehand if they are unable to attend a session
- Complaints Procedure
- In the event that you have a complaint or issue we ask that you speak with us directly and quickly so we are able to help out and deal with the situation as soon as it arises

CODES OF CONDUCT

All members of staff and volunteers agree to:
- Prioritise the well-being of all children and adults at risk at all times
- Treat all children and adults at risk fairly and with respect
- Be a positive role model. Act with integrity, even when no one is looking
- Help to create a safe and inclusive environment both on and off court
- Not allow any rough or dangerous behaviour, bullying or the use of bad or inappropriate language
- Report all allegations of abuse or poor practice to the club Welfare Officer
- Not use any sanctions that humiliate or harm a child or adult at risk
- Value and celebrate diversity and make all reasonable efforts to meet individual needs
- Keep clear boundaries between professional and personal life, including on social media
- Have the relevant consent from parents/carers, children and adults before taking or using photos and videos
- Refrain from making physical contact with children or adults unless it is necessary as part of an emergency or congratulatory (e.g. handshake / high five)
- Refrain from smoking and consuming alcohol during club activities or coaching sessions
- Ensure roles and responsibilities are clearly outlined and everyone has the required information and training
- Avoid being alone with a child or adult at risk unless there are exceptional circumstances
- Refrain from transporting children or adults at risk, unless this is required as part of a club activity (e.g. away match) and there is another adult in the vehicle
- Not abuse, neglect, harm or discriminate against anyone; or act in a way that may be interpreted as such
- Not have a relationship with anyone under 18 for whom they are coaching or responsible for
- Not to have a relationship with anyone over 18 whilst continuing to coach or be responsible for them
All children agree to:
- Be friendly, supportive and welcoming to other children and adults
- Play fairly and honestly
- Respect club staff, volunteers and Officials and accept their decisions
- Behave, respect and listen to your coach
- Take care of your equipment and club property
- Respect the rights, dignity and worth of all participants regardless of age, gender, ability, race, culture, religion or sexual identity
- Not use bad, inappropriate or racist language, including on social media
- Not bully, intimidate or harass anyone, including on social media
- Not smoke, drink alcohol or drugs of any kind on club premises or whilst representing the club at competitions or events
- Talk to the club Welfare Officer about any concerns or worries they have about themselves or others
All adults agree to:
- Positively reinforce your child and show an interest in their tennis
- Use appropriate language at all times
- Be realistic and supportive
- Never ridicule or admonish a child for making a mistake or losing a match
- Treat all children, adults, volunteers, coaches, officials and members of staff with respect
- Behave responsibly at the venue; do not embarrass your child
- Accept the official’s decisions and do not go on court or interfere with matches
- Encourage your child to play by the rules, and teach them that they can only do their best
- Deliver and collect your child punctually from the venue
- Ensure your child has appropriate clothing for the weather conditions
- Ensure that your child understands their code of conduct
- Adhere to your venue’s safeguarding policy, diversity and inclusion policy, rules and regulations
- Provide emergency contact details and any relevant information about your child including medical history
