CAMBRIDGE PRIMARY SCHOOL SWIMMING POOL KEY HIRE

POOL KEY ELIGIBILITY

Pool keys may be purchased by families with children currently attending Cambridge Primary School and/or by families with children attending the Four Peaks Swim School. Consideration will also be given to ex-CPS families. Keys will again be available to members of the public. Registration and advertising to the public will begin one week after CPS families are given the chance to register for a pool key.

We are limited to the number of keys available, and once we reach that limit, no more keys will be issued. The pool is for the use of each key holder and their family/whaanau only. Each family will be issued with only one fob key.

When you register for a Pool Key, you will receive an invoice. Payment will then be required before your key is issued. If your payment is not received within 5 working days of the invoice date, the key may be offered to the next person on the waiting list.

COST

For a key issued in Term 4, the cost is $185 plus a $10 refundable bond, giving a total cost of $195. The bond will be refunded when the fob key is returned before 30th April 2027. This cost covers the use of the pool between 12/10/26 (week 1, Term 4) and 26/4/27 (end of term 1 holidays 2027)

Keys will not be issued until Monday, 12/10/26.

HEALTH & SAFETY INDUCTION

The person responsible and signing for the pool key must attend one health and safety induction meeting before receiving a pool key. If you have attended a Health and Safety induction in the past, you do not need to attend another induction session. Once you have registered to hire a Pool Key, Marie will be in touch to arrange a time for the induction.

KEY HOLDER CONTRACT/RULES

The swimming pool rules are designed to ensure we all enjoy the pool during the hot months. A copy of the key holder contract/rules will be given to the key holder when they attend the pool induction session or collect their pool key. The keyholder contract /rules must be signed before a key is issued. Any questions regarding these rules can be asked at the end of the induction session or when the key is collected.

School Days Term 4 2026 & Term 1 2027

*Mondays, Tuesdays & Wednesdays 6.00 pm – 7:45 pm

* Thursdays and Fridays 4:30 pm - 7:45 pm

Weekends, Public and School Holidays 9.00 am – 7.45 pm

* Subject to use by the Four Peaks Swim School. If the pool is in use by the Swim School, then it will not be available for use by Pool Keyholders. This will be communicated to all key holders should the need arise.

Pool Keys will not be handed out until the key holder has attended a Health and Safety Induction, read and signed the School Pool Rules and User Contract, and paid the $195 (Hireage fee & key bond)

Below are the player, spectator, and volunteers' (coach/manager) code of conducts followed by the Four Peaks Swim School rules. Please read them carefully.

PLAYER CODE OF CONDUCT

Play for enjoyment.
Play hard but fair
Play by the laws ofthe game.
Be committed to your team. Attend all practices and matches.
Never argue with the referee. Control your temper at all times.
Work equally hard for yourself and your team.
Be a good sport. Applaud all good play whether by your team or your opponent.
Acknowledge other team at the end of the game.
The goals of the game are to have fun, improve your skills and feel good

SPECTATOR / PARENT CODE OF CONDUCT

Applaud the performance of both teams.
Be positive with the referee.
Acknowledge the efforts of the referee.
Let players play their game, not your game.
Praise efforts, not results.
Set a positive example for the players
Support the Coach and Manager

VOLUNTEER'S (COACHES/MANAGERS) CODE OF CONDUCT

Be organised, with practices planned
Positively reinforce the actions of players
Lead by example
Be honest with yourself and players
Help to create and enjoyable environment in which to play the game
Develop team respect for referees
Give all players the opportunity to participate in the game
Insist p fair play and discipline
Be reasonable on the demand on players time, energy and enthusiasm
Encourage good sportsmanship

SWIM SCHOOL RULES

We ask that:

[li]Swimmers arrive at the pool, ready to swim, 10 minutes before their lesson.[/li]

[li]All swimmers MUST be accompanied by a parent/guardian for the duration of their swim lesson.[/li]

[li]Swimmers wear clean togs, goggles, and a swim cap for EVERY lesson and bring a filled water bottle with them.[/li]

[li]All parents/caregivers, swimmers and visitors please keep noise to a minimum while waiting for or watching a lesson.[/li]

[li]Only those students who are enrolled in the session may enter the pool. Supervised siblings may observe with a parent/guardian under the sheltered area.[/li]

Please do NOT:

Eat within the pool complex.
Run in the pool complex.

Swim Level:

Lessons are performance-based. If our instructors deem that the swim level your child has been enrolled in is unsuitable for them, we will contact you to arrange an alternative level and lesson time.

Behaviour:

Our instructors have the right to ask a child to leave the pool and miss out on part or all of a lesson if their behaviour is unsafe and/or disruptive. Parents/caregivers are responsible for the supervision of their child at all times.

Health and Safety:

Please abide by the Pool Rules on the changing shed wall. Individuals not complying with these rules may be required to leave the complex.
The pool is 0.9m deep at the shallow end and 1.6m deep at the deep end. Please ensure your child is aware of the pool depth.
Please ensure the gate to the pool is properly closed after entering or exiting the facility.
Please be aware that the school pool is monitored by CCTV 24 hours a day 7 days a week.

Payment, cancellations and refund policy:

Fees will be calculated and invoiced per term, and a full, advanced payment is required to secure your child's booking.
We reserve the right to cancel lesson times if minimum numbers are not met and a full refund will be made in these circumstances.
We willnotprovide a refund for lessons that are missed during the term and nor will we refund lessons if your child is removed from the pool by an instructor due to unsafe or disruptive behaviour.
We willnotprovide a refund for lessons that are cancelled due to circumstances outside of our control however we will endeavour to provide a catch up session on another day/time.
